The Weekend Express bus was started as a pilot
project partially funded through the STAR
Program. However, continued funding to
operate this bus route must be determined and
is dependent on whether the service is being
used. If the number of riders does not justify
keeping the service it may be determined that
the bus route is unnecessary and the route will
be discontinued.

How to ride the bus:

the bus driver. (Drivers do
not make change.)
The Weekend Express is
a public bus route. Please
reserve the front seats for
senior citizens or passengers
with disabilities.
Only service animals are allowed on the bus.
No smoking, yelling, using profanity or obscene
language or gestures. Eating and drinking is not
allowed. Violators will be removed from the bus.
Please do not carry on a conversation with the
driver when the bus is in motion.
Playing radios and/or other audio devices is
prohibited unless using earphones and then at a
volume not heard by other riders.
Before you disembark, please make sure you have
all your belongings with you. TriCounty Link
is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged
property. Please report lost items by call us at
843-899-4096.
Use caution when exiting the bus. NEVER cross
the street in front of the bus. Wait for the bus to
depart and then cross the street when it is safe to
do so.

From Northwoods Mall you may transfer to the Charleston
Area Regional Transit Authority (CARTA) bus to continue
your trip into downtown Charleston. The trip takes
approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. For more information
about CARTA routes and schedules visit their website at
www.ridecarta.com.
TriCounty Link has a transfer agreement with the Charleston
Area Regional Transit Authority (CARTA) that allows you to
to transfer from the TriCounty Link bus to a CARTA bus at
no extra charge. When you board the TriCounty Link bus,
ask the driver for a transfer. When you board the CARTA bus
give the TriCounty Link transfer to the CARTA bus driver. On
the return trip, when you board the CARTA bus you pay the
CARTA $1.75 one-way fare. Then the $5.00 TriCounty Link
fee or use your pass to return to base.
