Lifetime, Sunday, 9.50pm The John Child’s Story investigates Britain’s most prolific hitman and one of the

IN SEARCH OF TALENT!
By DIMAKATSO MOTAU
SINGER Selaelo Selota will be unearthing
raw talent in the Northern Cape!
He is part of the judging panel for the first
Transnet Rising Starz, a community uplifting
initiative searching for unsigned singing talent.
“We are looking for pure and genuine talent. One of my strengths is that I’m not only
a musician, but a mentor and good at artist
development,” Selaelo said.
He said together with his fellow judges –
singer Bianca le Grange and vocal coach Gideon Linde – they will be looking to find shining
stars.
“I’m currently working on two music projects. One is my next album and the other is
an album dedicated to mineworkers. I collaborated with them to sing songs they sing underground while searching for gold. I started
out in the mining industry and it’s good to give
something back to miners,” he said.
Bianca said the competition presents a
golden opportunity.
“I advise young people to use their talent
wisely by doing their best at auditions.
“They must be unique and original.
“Whoever is truly hungry for this opportunity will win,” Bianca said.
“I have been a contestant and I know what
those who participate will be going through.

DEAR WHITE PEOPLE
THIS is a spoof that many readers will love to bits!
It’s about a wicked woman DJ,
the lovely and cheeky Tessa
Thompson.
She takes on white people who
pretend not to be racist but date
black men to irritate their parents, or who make remarks about
hair that could be seen as racist.
She states that black people
cannot be racially prejudiced.
Her remarks can make this
comedy cruel at times, but most
often they will make you laugh.
It’s a film for people who like funny,
dark comedies tackling subjects that
most movies are scared to deal with.
Classy, funny fight for a princess
