THE RIVERRUN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL IS ONE OF THE COUNTRY’S PREMIER

Our passionate audiences gather for ten days each spring to celebrate great films, meet
filmmakers and explore the world’s perspectives and cultures through cinema. The 16th Annual
Festival, to be held April 4-13, 2014, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, will feature more than
100 films from dozens of countries around the world and present a wide array of programs,
panel discussions and parties.
RiverRun, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, has blossomed into one of region’s leading arts
events and an important stop on the film festival circuit for emerging films and filmmakers.
And because RiverRun annually provides a healthy selection of family-friendly, independent,
international and celebrity driven films, the Festival attracts broad and diverse audiences,
including local film aficionados, young families, niche audiences and cultural tourists. So far, this
formula has proven to be tremendous successful. In 2013, for instance, the Festival issued nearly
18,000 tickets, representing a 12 percent increase in annual admissions.
To make all this happen, however, RiverRun relies on a broad coalition of foundations, individuals
