RMFM OPEN HOUSE – MAY 3RD, 2015
WELL!!! Your club, the Rocky Mountain Flying Machine, opened up your field, Henry Wood Memorial
Field, for all the world to see and to come and fly with us on Sunday, May 3rd, 2015. Lemme tell ya, it
was a BIG success! Here’s some of the crowd:
Folks from all over New Mexico showed up – Farmington (Allen, Anthony), Los Alamos (Ross, Ray, Tom,
Mark and more), Albuquerque DCEF (Tom, John, and a whole bunch more!), Rio Rancho (Mike and
others), RMFM (over a third of us!), some folks from Colorado (I was told), Edgewood (Richard) – the
count was upwards of forty! What a nice time everyone had – lots of flying, lots of talking and
reminiscing, lots of free food and beverages – and aircraft of all types and sizes!
I saw helis containing one, four, and even six motors; really small airplanes, lots of sport airplanes, giant
scale airplanes, precision scale aircraft, a super-FAST screaming ducted fan (launched from a bungee
cord!) jet, and 3D aerobatic airplanes, too! We had the club trainer there as well; it got some use, too.
Here’s a bunch of pictures for you to enjoy:
Here’s an overview, and a pic of some of your fellow club members – what a nice time for everyone!
