General Rules
General Rules (cont.)
1. All functions conducted in Rolling Meadows Park District parks must be held in
accordance with district ordinances, policies and rules.
2. Observe closing Hours.
3. Alcoholic beverages are allowed ONLY
with the approval of the Park Board
Commissioners. (Alcohol permitted in
cans or unbreakable containers only.)
Liquor Liability Insurance is required.
This insurance policy may be purchased
through the park district or through your
own agent. Proof of purchase is required
before the event.
4. Vehicles are restricted to designated
parking lots and are not allowed on
grassy areas, unless permission has been
given by the park district. Police will ticket vehicles parked on grassy areas not
displaying an authorized parking permit.
5. Loud or boisterous language or behavior
is not permitted. No fogging for insects
6. A picnic permit does not mean the park
is closed to the general public; courtesy
to other groups is expected. Permits give
exclusive rights to tables and pavilions.
7. Area must be cleaned up after picnic.
8. Fires are not permitted without permission from the Park Board of Commissioners as well as a special use permit
from the Rolling Meadows Fire Department. Grilling is always permitted in acceptable containers.
9. Tent or canopy use requires permission
from the Park Board of Commissioners as
well as a special use permit from the City Of
Rolling Meadows Building and Zoning Department on tents larger than 20’ x 20’ or
for more than 4 days use in parks.
10.Special permission needed for bands and
DJ’s in any parks.
11.Moon bounces/bounce houses do need a
special certificate of insurance.

GUIDE
Liquor Liability Insurance will be charged for
any rental that wishes to serve liquor at the
event. Insurance is offered through a thirdparty if you are not providing it through your
personal insurance company. Dram Shop Insurance is a policy to protect the person(s)
renting the facility as well as the Rolling
Meadows Park District from any alcohol related lawsuits brought on by guests of said
renter. Requests need to be approved by the
Park District Board of Commissioners.

Picnic Rentals
Kimball Hill Park
Plum Grove Park Hill Parties
We have ideal park sites for group or individual picnicking. Picnickers will enjoy the
natural beauty of the parks as well as
many amenities our parks offer. Permits
for families or groups less than 20 are not
required, however, permits do guarantee
a designated picnic site. Without a permit,
picnic areas are available on a first come,
first serve basis. Groups without a picnic
permit must yield picnic areas to permitted groups. Permits are available for
RM Park District residents beginning the
first business Monday in January. City of
Rolling Meadows residents who are not

4001 Park Drive, Palatine
This 25 acre park, with parking, has numerous amenities including playground equipment suitable for ages 6-12, baseball diamonds, open field, picnic shelter, picnic
area/grills, sand volleyball court and hiking/
jogging/bicycle trail, pond and fishing.
A large, shaded picnic area with picnic
tables and built in charcoal grills atop a
grass hill, overlooking the pools,
playground and volleyball court. Amenities
include: Six lane, 25 meter pool with a 12’
deep diving well and a kiddie pool, nine
professionally built tennis courts, horseshoe pit, sand volleyball court, children’s
playground, roller hockey court with goals,
skate park and five basketball hoops.

RM Park District Residents
20-50 guests: $60
51-99 guests: $80
100-149 guests: $125
150+: $1 per person
The security deposit for use of our picnic
sites is $500. This deposit is refundable.
The security deposit is our insurance
against damage to the park or excessive
clean up. Groups hosting more participants
than indicated on the permit will also forfeit their security deposit. Deposit refunds
will be made after the park site has been
inspected. The District reserves the right to
assess additional charges for any abuse of
the park/picnic site.

This 22 acre park, with parking, has numerous amenities including playground equipment suitable for ages 5-12, baseball diamond, open field, picnic shelter, tennis
courts, basketball court, sand volleyball
court and hiking/jogging/bicycle trail. Picnic
rental available for up to 125 people.
