from SS. Peter & Paul. This powerful musical
heals and inspires! Performance will be on May
3, 2015 at 7:00 PM. Tickets are available
online now (www.rocklincatholic.org/jobmusical), in the parish office, and after Masses beginning April
25/26. $10 per adult/$5 per youth (5-17). A $3 chili dinner will also
available right after the 5:15 Mass on May 3rd.
On Monday, May 4th at 7:00 PM, John will present a solo
concert along with inspiring stories. Free-will donations
will be accepted.
First Mass of Thanksgiving at SS. Peter & Paul Church
on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at 5:15pm.
A reception provided by his family will follow the 5:15pm Mass of
Thanksgiving in the Social Hall on June 7th. Reservations are
required and are limited (first come, first served). Please rsvp to

Deacon Michael Ritter is the son of Jim and Patty Ritter and has
attended our parish for the last 28 years. Michael was ordained to the
Transitional Diaconate on October 11, 2014 at the Abbey Church of
Mount Angel Seminary, St. Benedict, Oregon.
Please hold Michael in your prayers as he approaches this very
special day in the life of our Church!

WELCOMING COMMITTEE
If you have a social bent, this is a great committee to start or to join.
The welcoming committee can follow up with newcomers to help
introduce them to the parish. They can make sure letters of welcome
go out to those who have signed up in the parish, along with
informative materials about the parish. Some can organize occasional
events where the newcomers can come, meet the clergy and staff,
and other leaders in the parish. Consider how you would like to be
welcomed and make it happen for others. If you are interested in

Brunch Fundraiser: THIS SUNDAY!
Come join your parish family for the Brunch
Fundraiser this Sunday, May 3rd in the Social Hall.
Brunch begins at 10am and Noon. The meal
includes homemade pancakes, sausage, eggs,
French toast sticks, coffee and beverages. The
meal is only $5 a plate and all proceeds support the SSPP High
School Youth Missionaries. Thank you for the continued support!

EDGE..Every Day God Everywhere
May 3rd… TONIGHT EDGE students (with
tickets) will meet in the Multipurpose Room (not
the Social Hall) at 6:30 p.m. for pizza and snacks.
We will be attending the John Angotti musical
production "JOB: The NOW Testament" as a
group.
This will be an extended EDGE Night, ending at 8:30 p.m. instead of
8:15 p.m.. Parents and families are encouraged to purchase tickets
and attend as well! (tickets being sold after all masses today).
Don't miss out what is sure to be a wonderful, high-energy and
powerful performance (with a cast of our very own SSPP talent)!

Faith & Service Enrichment Reflections are still
being accepted. Please turn in paperwork to the Faith
Formation Office.
Confirmation Robe Pick-Up: As a reminder,
confirmation robes will be distributed on Monday, May 11th from 9:00
a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, May 12th from 4:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m.
in the Multipurpose Room. Robe sizes are based on a height. Please
measure your son/daughter or know their height prior to robe pick-up.

This Week in Youth Ministry
~Wednesday, May 6th—Open Door from 6-9pm in Room #11!
~Sunday, May 10th Mother’s Day Brunch!- from 10am-1pm. All
Mothers eat free, and family members eat for only $5 a plate. We
will be preparing the meals and serving at this event. If you would
like to help out at this event, please email the Youth Minister at

Graduation Mass - Sunday, May 10th: We would like to honor
all graduating seniors within our parish community. Pictures of the
group will take place directly after Mass, followed by a reception. All
seniors must be inside the Church by 4:30pm on Sunday, May
10th. To make sure there is enough seating for family and friends,
all attendees joining the graduate must arrive between no later than

Coming Up!
SAVE THE DATE! Sunday, June 14th: Please join us in
honoring our Youth Missionaries! This Mass is a requirement for all
Youth Missionaries attending Missions 2015. Family members and
friends are welcome to join us at the 5:15pm Mass. Please arrive
at 4:30pm to check in and get ready for the procession. Family and
friends should arrive no later than 4:50pm to ensure there is enough

What motivates someone to become a terrorist?
What is the role of religion in extremist groups? Join
us for our remaining Wednesday nights (through May
13) at 7:00pm in the Social Hall.
Fr. Tom’s topic is: Understanding Religiously
Motivated Terrorism: A Study in Fundamentalism,
Radicalization and Terrorism. His timely
presentations are engaging and you will walk away informed and
inspired. $5 per evening at the door.
Women’s Overnight Retreat at Mercy Center,
Auburn. Our retreat theme this year is:
A River of Hope.
Come find reasons for hope in your relationships

Family Ministry Campout!!
Camping Trip to Scott's Flat Lake
Please join us for the annual Family Ministry camping
trip to Scott's Flat Lake from July 23rd to 26th. Enjoy
campfires, swimming, boating, relaxing, and playing in
the great outdoors with wonderful SSPP families of all
ages. Shared meal duties make the work light and the
time together fun. We will celebrate mass on Saturday evening under
the trees. Campsites are reserved -- all you have to do is sign up with
a $35 deposit in the parish office. Total cost is $35 per family per

the perfect summertime adventure for the whole family.
2015 Men’s Cursillo
A Cursillo for men has been scheduled for October
1-4 in Applegate.
This diocese-wide annual Cursillo is conducted in
an atmosphere of joy, grace and reflection. The
weekend is designed to give men a deeper relationship with God and
is sometimes referred to as a short course in Christianity. Through
prayer, discussions and inspiring talks, participants are challenged to
better understand their faith and to deepen their walk with Christ. To
date, over 120 SS Peter and Paul men and women have benefitted

Monastic Immersion Weekend
May 15-17, 2015
Experience Christ on a Monastic Weekend
The monks of New Clairvaux Abbey invite Catholic Men ages 18-35 to
immerse themselves in the ancient yet living monastic tradition for a
weekend. Participants will be able to: Join the monks for prayer in the
Abbey church; receive conferences on “Monastic Prayer” and
“Cistercian Spirituality”; View the award-winning film “Of Gods and
Men” about the Cistercian martyrs of Algeria followed by a panel
discussion; share a meal with the monks; Experience the
contemplative atmosphere of the abbey grounds, and more.

The Annual Mother's Day Breakfast
will occur on Mother's Day, Sunday,
May 10, 2015. Each mother that
attends will receive a free breakfast
and strawberry Daiquiri. The SS.
Peter & Paul Men's Club in
cooperation with the High School Youth Group will sponsor this event
starting at 10 AM and lasting until 1 PM. The breakfast for family
members is $5.00 each. We wish all Mother's to have a Happy
Mother's Day.

WakeUp! - Men of SS Peter & Paul
We invite men of all ages to join our monthly WakeUp!
gathering at 6:30AM next Saturday (May 9th). Our
discussion topics are always relevant, challenging and
thought provoking. Please join us as we explore our
challenge to be men of faith, men of family and men of work. If you

E-Waste Drive — The Boy Scouts will be
having their next e-waste drive on Saturday, May
30th from 8am to 12pm. This is a great
opportunity to get rid of broken or unwanted
electronic items free of charge. CEAR safely
shreds hard drives. A portion of the proceeds
raised will be used to maintain the Outdoor Prayer
Center. Some items accepted are computer
monitors, televisions, laptops, desktop computers, servers, printers,
fax machines, telephones, VCRs & DVD players and recorders.
