Term 3 – 2nd Half
8th June to 24th July
Welcome back
I hope you and your children have enjoyed a restful half term break. The academic year has really flown by
and I am pleased with the huge amount of progress all pupils have made thanks to the hard work they have
put into their learning. A special mention must go to our Year 6 pupils who showed maturity and a desire to do
their very best during SATs week last half term. I was so proud of them all.
Spring Fair
The Spring Fair was a real
success. Attendance was high and a
number of stalls sold out of all their
goods. Thank you to all the parents,
relatives and staff who gave up their
time to help out.
Attendance
Rec. = 95.5%
Year 2 = 98.0%
Year 4 =96.2 %
Year 6 =96.8 %
Year 1 = 95.8%
Year 3 = 96.7%
Year 5 =95.9 %
Overall 96.4%
School Reports
Will be sent out on 10th July. There
will be an opportunity for you to
discuss your child’s report with the
class teacher at the Parents Open
Evening on 13th July 3:30 – 6:00p.m.
Staffing for next year
A letter will be sent out on 10th July detailing who will be teaching
your child next September. This half term, staff will liaise with each
other to communicate all relevant information to your child’s next
class teacher in order to ensure the transition to the next year
group is a smooth one. I know for some children moving on to
another class can appear to be a daunting prospect and it is
important your child understands that there really is nothing to
worry about.
Website
Our school website has been vastly improved and will be further
developed over time based on your own and other stakeholders
feedback. Please have a look on www.romileyprimary.com
Playground
The wooden stage has been removed from the junior
playground as a recent inspection found the wood to be
rotten and was thus deemed unsafe for use.
