The Apostle Paul loved to be around Christians and he often expressed his love in
many of his letters. Perhaps of all the churches Paul loved, he cared the most
about the church at Philippi. Read how he addresses his friends in the Philippian
church.
I thank my God every time I remember you. 4 In
all my prayers for all of
you, I always pray with joy 5 because of your partnership in the
gospel from the first day until now…Philippians 1:3-5
Reading his letter to them gives you the impression that there was something special between them. Paul tells us that in every remembrance of them, he gave
joyful thanks to God. Here is another passage where he expressed his feelings
about them.

and you are all partners with me in grace. For God is my witness, how I deeply
miss all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus…Philippians 1:7-8
I write all of this to say that I also love God’s people, and especially those at
Church on the Rise. You bring such joy to me with your love and fellowship. I love
the kids, the teens and the adults. You all are more like family than friends. You
are my joy and my crown. You are my encouragement and are my partners in
God’s grace.
I am so excited to see what God is going to do next at Church on the Rise as we
all learn to “Love our Church”.

Camp Kellogg Week of Renewal
Spring is coming to Kellogg Springs Camp and that means
Days of Renewal will be here soon! We are not just
“Renewing” Camp - our goal is to make this a time of renewing fellowship, and worship for all who come. Some of
the projects we are working on for this year:
 Renew original Stake Garden and add to current one
 New Amphitheater
 Improvements for Horseshoes, Basement, Restrooms, itc.
 New Adventure Feature?
 Mowing, weed-eating, trail maintenance, general maintenance, and more.
If you’d like to join the fun, we’ll be taking a van to Camp Kellogg May 23rd. Be watching Information

All-Church Information
Mom’s M.A.P (Meeting and Playing) group meets each Tuesday at
10:00am in Room 101. Bring the kids and join other moms to make new
friends, encourage one another, and gain life application skills. Childcare is provided.
Groups
Funtimers - (Senior Adults) Potluck and mini concert by “The Greens,”
Tuesday, May 12th. They meet at 1:00pm in the clubhouse. Bring your
favorite main, side, salad, or dessert to share.
Ladies Birthday Luncheon - May 18th at noon at Karen’s Coffee Cup.
Squares of Hope quilting ministry meets the first and third Tuesday of each
month at 10:00am in the clubhouse.
Ladies Fellowship and Bible study Tuesday mornings at 9:00am in the
church library. Coffee, fellowship, and the sharing of God’s Word.
May 10th Is Mother’s Day so you don’t want to miss church!
We have a special day planned just for Mom’s.
May 17th - There will be no Children's Church for 1st-6th graders as
they join their parents in the Sanctuary while I preach in big church!
May 30th - Pastor Zach and I are taking the 6th graders out on a little adventure to Florence
as an introduction to youth ministry and to help them be comfortable with their new Youth
Pastor.
Wednesday Nights, for the month of May, kids will continue a series learning about God using
one of their favorite things - Candy! Each week will feature a different candy and a different
attribute of God's character

High School Bible Study - HSBS meets on Monday’s at the clubhouse from 3-4:00pm. We are currently going through a study on the book of Revelation.
“The Tree” Youth Service - Every Wednesday night from 6:30-7:30, our youth
group gets together to play crazy games, worship, and learn what it means
to truly love God.
Coming every Friday Night in June: Popcorn in the Park.
Youth Garage Sale and Car Wash - If you desire to donate to the youth
