Restore us, Lord God Almighty; make your
face shine on us, that we may be saved
Ps 80:19
Honouring the Women in Our Lives today we will be having a "popcorn"
sharing during the worship time. In a
few words, you will have the opportunity to honour the women in your
life who have influenced you on your
spiritual journey.
Almighty God, whom truly to know is everlasting life: Grant us so perfectly to know
your Son Jesus Christ to be the way, the
truth, and the life, that we may steadfastly
follow his steps in the way that lead to eternal life; through Jesus Christ your Son our
Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the
unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and
ever.
Amen
Day of Prayer
May 20th, 2015
SOMETIMES, OFTEN, our days are so busy, so
noisy, that we just need a moment in time, a place
to quiet our souls and rest. On May 20th the
church sanctuary will be open for day of personal
prayer from 9:00am until 7:00 pm. Come and
spend time in reflection and mediation of scripture
as an individual, or a family, or as friends. A pastor
will be available to join you in prayer if you wish.
PENTECOST
Sunday, May 24th
Wear Colors of Fire—Red, Yellow
or Orange
Yellow symbolizes light which in turn is a
symbol of the presence of God. It is also
symbolic of renewal and hope, especially
in the resurrection of Jesus.
Red is the color of fire and so symbolizes
the presence of God. It is the color
for Pentecost. It is considered the color of
the Church, since red can also symbolize
the blood of martyrs.
At Pentecost we celebrate the coming of
the Holy Spirit who descended on the
gathered disciples as “tongues of fire”.
This marks the birth of the church.
SUMMER STUDENT
We are happy to announce that we have hired a student to work with us during spring and
summer. Our student will need accommodations during his employment
from May—August. If you are able to
provide accommodations on a short or
long term basis please contact the church office at
(403) 529-9300.
GNCKids
GNCKids is hosting a work day to do some cleaning and
updates in the nursery and toddler area on Wednesday, May
13, 2015 from 9am to 3pm. All of our church family is invited
to join us to support this ministry.
We will be working on a wall mural, painting some of the
furniture, making flannel and chalk boards, and doing a
clean of the toys inside the nursery and on the lawn. Please
RSVP to Pastor Tammy by phone or text at 403-581-1717,
or via Facebook.
