Rössing Uranium Limited Registered in Namibia No. 70/1591 28 Hidipo Hamutenya Avenue Private Bag 5005 Swakopmund Namibia T +264 (0)64 520 F +264 (0)64 520 SCOPE OF WORK FOR THE REPAIR OF VARIOUS CYLINDERS ON HEAVY MOBILE EQUIPMENT (HME) SERVICES REQUIRED The Contractor shall: Carry out planned and unplanned repairs and maintenance on all cylinders on various HME’s at the contractor’s workshop. Contractors should proof that they have the necessary skilled workforce available and their workshops are equipped to handle these types of repairs. All the above services to be carried out to Rössing’s Health, Safety and Environmental and other relevant standards. TYPE OF CYLINDERS Rössing has various types of HMEs and mobile support equipment. The repairs of these cylinders are critical for continuous operations and should be attended to in the shortest possible time: Excavator bucket cylinder PC 800-7 stick cylinder PC 800-7 bucket cylinder PC 800-7 boom cylinder Pit Viper jack cylinders Panto cylinders - HT workshop Workshop hydraulic jacks - HT workshop SERVICES REQUIRED The contractor should be able to perform the following services: Dismantle and inspect cylinder Hone main barrel Manufacture or supply new piston rods Supply new nuts Supply seal kit Supply and fit rod clevis bearing Supply clevis seals Replace gland bush Re-assemble and test Supply and fit steel rings The above services should only serve as a guideline and could be expanded. DETAILS The contactor shall perform work as per instructions issued under the Services Contract containing the scope as per the tender process. The contractor shall ensure adequate supervision and supply suitably qualified and experienced workforce to deliver the service successfully to Rössing. STANDARDS For all work on site you will be required to be familiar with and to apply the relevant Rössing Health, Safety and Environmental standards and Rössing Engineering Standards. When applicable, specific additional standards and procedures, such as OEM requirements, will be indicated as work/services are allocated via specific scopes of work/service. When applicable, written Safe Work Procedures will be referred to and work must adhere strictly to these procedures. SAFETY All work will be carried out safely and the contractor shall supply and see to it that all his personnel at all times wear the appropriate safety clothing. Minimum requirements are safety hats, protective foot wear, safety spectacles and overalls. Submit proof of qualifications and experiences of human resources that are available for the execution of such work.
