JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Digital Productions Editor Traineeship Responsible to: Digital Productions Producer Contract: Part-time, 4days a week Salary: £6.70 per hour (£11,149 per annum) About the Roundhouse: The Roundhouse’s purpose is to enable young people to realise their creative potential and to offer audiences, of all ages, new and extraordinary experiences in live music, theatre, dance, circus, spoken word and new media. Roundhouse Digital Productions’s Mission: · To produce high quality video content for the Roundhouse channels. · To be a quality video production company offering it services to both internal teams and external clients. · To support and develop professional opportunities for all broadcast trainees. · To provide an accessible, creative and professional training ground to be a springboard for young professionals to break into the industry, · To use digital technologies to grow and sustain the audience of Roundhouse video channels. MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION To assist the Roundhouse Digital Productions team to produce and edit video content for the Roundhouse channels. Daily tasks will include archiving, editing, production and running of social media video channels. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Production • • • • To film and edit original content for the Roundhouse video channels. To assist with the production of live streams and promotional video content for the Roundhouse. To assist with the documentation of Roundhouse Creative Projects. To assist Roundhouse departments with the delivery and production of video content. Social Media Video Channels • • • • • To assist with the updating of Roundhouse video channels. To support the Roundhouse Digital Productions team with the archiving and editing of video material. Re-format and prepare video material for delivery online. To assist with the archiving of video content. Maintain database records of archived content and input data as appropriate General ● ● ● ● ● To be committed to putting young people at the heart of everything we do. PERSON SPECIFICATION Essential ● Good level of editing experience and enthusiasm for film ● Excellent organizational and administrational skills, attention to detail & ability to meet deadlines ● Enthusiasm and knowledge of social networking tools (YouTube, Instagram, Vine) ● Passion for live broadcast events and video production ● Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with people are varying levels ● Understanding of the Roundhouse work with young people, and an aptitude for supporting emerging filmmakers aged 14-25 ● Aspiration to carve a career in the film and production industry ● Good level of video production skills, including editing & operating live broadcasts ● Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team ● Ability to work calmly under pressure and to high standards ● Ability to plan and prioritise workload ● Self motivated and proactive approach Desirable ● Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Audition, Photoshop) skills ● Aptitude for coordinating teams ● Ability to problem solve & multi-task ● Interest and knowledge of the broadcast or media sector ● Experience of working in a office environment ● Knowledge of various Digital Media formats ● Knowledge of live multi-camera production Training offered as part of this traineeship; You will receive internal and external training to further skills and knowledge; this will include but is not limited to; Live studio operation Production Post-Production (Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effect, Colour grading) Peer mentoring Social Media and Marketing Creative treatments writing Camera and Multi-camera set ups REVIEW ARRANGEMENTS This job information cannot be all encompassing.
