2015 Schools Art Competition
For attention of Art Co-ordinator/Head of Art
This competition is intended to give children the opportunity to study the work of a professional artist, and then
produce a piece of art on any aspect of British produced food, farming or the countryside in the style of their
chosen artist. Alternatively, the children may use their own style without reference to the existing work of any
professional artist.
Entries should be no larger than A3 size. Pictures may be in any medium, i.e. watercolour, oils, pastels, poster
paints, powder colours, acrylics, crayons, pen and ink, pencil, and textiles although heavy collages are not always
suitable for display, (No photography please). There is no limit to the number of entries per school.
The winning entries will be on display in the Schools Marquee at the Royal Norfolk Show on 1 & 2 July 2015 and
prize giving will take place in the marquee on Thursday 2 July. Certificates will be sent to Highly Commended work.
The five year group categories are;
• Reception, Yrs 1 & 2
• Years 3 & 4
• Years 5 & 6
• Years 7 & 8
• Years 9 & 10
Schools 1st Prize: £100. Runner-up Prize: £75 in each of
the five categories
Closing Date for entries - Friday 10
April 2015
The competition is open to Norfolk, Suffolk &
Cambridgshire Schools.
Judging will take place week commencing 13
April.
Child 1st Prize: £30. Child Runner-up Prize £10 in each of
the five categories

Friday 10th April 2015.
Each entry should have the child’s full name, school, and year on the back, together with the name of the
artist if submitting a picture in the style of. The judge’s decision is final.
