Guide For Applicants
1. Aim of the RSYC
The object of the Club is to foster the sport of yachting, yacht racing, motor boating, fishing and all other sea
sports and related recreational and social activities which the Club considers beneficial to the Members.
2. Application Procedure
Applicants must complete this form and obtain the signatures of 2 Preference Members as proposer and
seconder, before submitting it to the RSYC office, together with a photograph and a cheque for the relevant
Entrance Fee. A copy of the font page of the form will be displayed on the New Members notice board in the
Club for a period of one month. A panel f the General Committee of the Club will interview the applicant and
recommend election to membership at the next regular Committee Meeting. Members will be informed of
the Committee’s decision immediately after the meeting. Applicants who fail to attend an interview within 3
months of initial invitation shall have their applications rejected.
3. Acceptance
Subject to no objections being received from a Club Member within the one month display period, or other
circumstances which may challenge the application, the Committee will elect the applicant to the
membership category of his/her choice. The Committee reserves the right to reject an application without
giving reasons and shall refund any Entrance Fee paid. Applicants who have ben rejected may re-apply after
a period of 6 months.
4. Assistance
Applicants who do not know a Member of the Club may seek assistance from the Club Management to
introduce them to Members in order to obtain the necessary signatures.
5. Hours of Operation
The administration office is open for business from 9:00am – 5:00pm daily.
The restaurant is open from 10:00am – 11:00pm daily.
6. Payment of Accounts
Members may settle their accounts by direct transfer of money into the Club Bank account, by presentation
of RM bank cheque, by Visa or Mastercard, or by cash to the Admin Office. Online payment methods, when
available are detailed in the Club website. Restaurant staff are not authorized to receive payments of
Member’s accounts. Members are encouraged to apply for auto debit service to avoid unnecessary
accumulation of debt and late payment charges
