Although the course is designed for an eight week pace,
you have six months to complete the online curriculum.

The LWPI Career Track provides our students with a clear

STUDENT
Once enrolled, you will receive your student login information
to access the online classroom area immediately. You can
begin your course work online, access event calendars for
class trips, and network with LWPI students, instructors,
graduates, and wedding industry partners. When your tuition
is paid in full you will also receive the curriculum textbook

GRADUATE
Upon graduation, you will receive your Certified Wedding
& Event Planner designation. All graduates are eligible to
participate in LWPI’s customized internship program or job

LWPI’s internship program offers real-world, hands-on

and support to help you navigate through your first six
months working in the industry or building your wedding

INTERN
As an LWPI Intern, you will develop wedding and event

My online professor, Kelly Teague is an excellent and
informative professor who provided great ideas and feedback
on my assignments. Her guidance on several chapters will be

I also had the opportunity to meet Laurie Beckmann,

The CWEP course has been quite the experience for me. As
I near the end of the course and look back at how much I’ve
learned, I’m feeling confident and well prepared for my career
as a wedding and event planner and business owner.
As a wedding and event planning professional, one of the
most important things I learned is managing the six areas of
the event experience (A6 event production). They say the little
details make a BIG difference! As a business owner, one of the
most important things I’ve learned is about the many possible
ways to market and expand my business. Building and
managing a successful presence in the industry is key!
Overall, this course has inspired me to be a more creative and
“outside the box” thinker. Thanks to LWPI for making such a
comprehensive course available to those of us with dreams
of becoming professional wedding and events planners AND
business owners. Best of luck to everyone taking the course!

As a wedding and event planning company co-owner I have
found the lessons learned over the past few months very useful
and applicable for both those who are in the industry today
and for those who plan to start in the future. Being organized
or a good designer is not enough if you want to be successful;
keeping up with trends, market conditions, customs, etc are all
essential and this course does a good job of making you find
places to get this information now and in the future. Good luck

“AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE”

When I decided to take this course to become a certified
wedding planner, I was not prepared for the coursework that
it entailed. When I received the book and saw how thick it
was I got a little nervous; however, when I started reading
the the chapters and doing the actual assignments I became
speechless. The only thing I could think was if your business
is not successful, its not because of LWPI, its because of self.
All the tools needed to get your business up and running is
provided in this course.
I am so excited at the aspect of joining different bridal
associations, networking within the industry, and of course
helping create visions for my clients. While I have done event
planning in the pass, this course showed me how to step my
game up.
My vision is to be one day be that planner who can work on
her business and not work in her business. Those are words
to live by; I have made that my motto and I thank you LWPI for
providing me with the knowledge needed to take my business
to the next level. Hopefully, one day I will be able to be an
Instructor for LWPI and pass down the wealth of knowledge
to the newbies who will follow in all of our footsteps.

I started this course as a skeptic of the wedding planner’s role.
I wanted to learn the details of event planning in order to plan
corporate and social events, but not weddings. The further I
went into the course, the more I realized that planners are not
a needless luxury; they are a priceless asset to any couple
planning their wedding. Instead of viewing planners as a threat
to individuality, I see them as a catalyst to creating a signature
event that will be remembered forever. They are not just
another vendor; they are a support system and a friend to help
guide couples along a very stressful and confusing path. Most

wedding planners do not start out because they want to make
a large sum of money; they work hard and long hours because
they love what they do. They love making couple’s dreams
come true.
The course was hard work, but I believe that I am fully
equipped to not only start my own business, but keep it afloat
and growing. The network of people and the experiences the
course has brought with it has made me a stronger and more
confident person.

and charity Bridal show and food drive for Feed Our Vets! This

LWPI Course

While still completing the LWPI certification course I know
what it takes to become a successful wedding planner. This
course has been a wonderful experience. Several of the
assignments have been challenging since I had no knowledge
of the industry at all… Thanks to the class, now I feel more
confident with my skills to work efficiently. I have gained
priceless experience and insight to the business over the last
year. Currently I am planning 3 weddings and 5 quinceaneras.
My favorite assignment was creating the design boards. I
realize I love design and I may take the Preston Baley class
in the near future.

Being a student at LWPI has been a great experience. When
I decided to get in the wedding industry, I knew that I needed
to a program that would teach me the ins and outs of the
business. LWPI course has taken me through the steps for
a strong foundation to start a business, planning events

and so much more all, of which I enjoyed. Although it was a
bit challenging at times completing the assignments and with
the anxiety having to replace my modem for my computer not
once, not twice but three times in the course of submitting and
finishing my assignments. In addition, with every obstacle, it
made me more determined to finish the course.
The Wedding Planning Institute has prepared me for the skills
and knowledge to help my bride’s with the most important time
of their lives with minimal amount of stress and frustration.
The Wedding Planning Institute has given me the confidence
to ensure that memories that I help create for future events
will be creatively memorable.

I’m not young, I’m 37 and for many years I’m involved in
business, but it has been so good and exciting to learn so

and it is true that when you have finished with the course, you

have to do in the right consecution even if you have not any
