Montville Plastics & Rubber started with
one extruder in 1977 and now has over
150,000 square feet and 14 extruders.
Montville specializes in difficult profile
extrusions with unique design needs, although they extrude sheet and pipe and
other standard products as well. With
unique capabilities such as dual and triple durometer extrusion, Montville is not
just another extruder. Their engineering
and product development capabilities
make Montville an excellent choice when
you need a consultative development of
your product. In 2014, Montville entered
a growth stage and has plans to expand
capacity by 67% over 3-5 years. This additional capacity has allowed and will allow
Montville to tackle more complicated and
higher volume projects while maintaining
a “no minimum order” philosophy.
Part of the expansion in 2014 included
the addition of an injection molding department. With overseas pricing increasing monthly, Montville has taken steps to
ensure that they are competitive with
overseas pricing without sacrificing quality. Why order that container load of ma-
terial when you can order just-in-time with
Montville and pay comparable prices with
superior quality?
Montville currently processes over 30 types
of plastic, the most common are: Rigid and
Flexible PVC, Noryl, HDPE, LDPE, UHMW,
ABS, Acrylic, Santoprene and other TPE’s,
and engineered composites.
Montville is aggressively seeking new customers to fill additional capacity and would
love to be part of your next project.
Diversified Silicone New Splicing Center
Diversified Silicone Products has set up a
splicing center for our silicone extrusions. Over the years our distributors
have found DSP an excellent source for
silicone extrusions. As this business has
grown one question keeps coming up.
“But can you splice it for us?” The Answer now is YES we can.
DSP will be offering both cold and hot
splicing of our silicone extrusions. Cold
bonding is the most economical splice
because it doesn’t require any special
tooling. Hot bonding gives a much better, stronger and more cosmetic looking
splice. But it does require a splicing fixture. And yes we offer both in line splices and 90º corner splicing. So please remember DSP for all your small silicone
extrusions and splicing.

TCI’s 100% PTFE CROSSFILM™ SPRAY SHIELDS
Using a non-porous, all-PTFE material,
CrossFilm™ Spray Shields guarantee performance against harmful spray out and
leakage regardless of the severity and duration of chemical exposure. Many materials
used for spray shields, like PTFE-coated
fiberglass, can be weakened by challenging
industrial environments and often require
monitoring. With a CrossFilm™ Spray
Shield, the body and draw-strings are all
made of 100% PTFE. This ensures that worker safety
will not be jeopardized by degraded materials in a spray
shield in the event of a spray out at a flange. Since the
CrossFilm™ Spray Shield will be unaffected by even the
most corrosive chemical environments, chemical compatibility tables do not need to be referenced. The translucent material used in an CrossFilm™ Spray Shield allows safe and easy detection of moisture leakage at the
flange. If leakage does occur at the flange, the spray
shield can be cleaned and reused without concern for
weak-ening due to chemical attack. CrossFilm™ Spray
Shields can be used in a pH range of 1-14 and a temper-
ature range of -100ºF (-73ºC) to 600ºF (315ºC). The
versatility and cost-effectiveness of this type of
spray shield allows it to be used in almost all industrial settings such as marine, offshore, pharmaceutical, chemical processing, FDA approved, cryogenic, and clean room applications.

Global Sealing Systems Is A Joint Venture
Global Sealing Systems LLC is a joint venture manufacture and wholesale rubber distributor for rubber rolls
and sheets of commercial and industrial grade thin to
heavy gauge materials. Our product line includes Natural Gum Rubber along with synthetic elastomers like
EPDM, Neoprene, BUNA-N (Nitrile), Fluoroelastomers
and Viton® materials. Global Sealing Systems LLC rubber is produced in our ISO 9001 factory which meets or
exceeds most ASTM and RMA specifications and is inspected. Most of our rubber is sold by the roll. Different
durometers are available. Durometer is a term that is
used to indicate the hardness of rubber and is normally
indicated in shore A. (The higher the durometer - the
harder and lower the number - the softer.) Sheet rubber
products are manufactured to meet commercial grade,
industrial grade, pharmaceutical grade, food grade and
more demanding chemical grade specifications required
for such applications. Global Sealing Systems LLC is
constantly expanding its product line with new reliable
products. Our staff of sales people, who answer the telephone (no voice mail during business hours) with in
depth rubber knowledge, will guide you in your requirements.
Stockton Rubber Builds Custom Elephant Trunks
Stockton Rubber in Linden, CA specializes in
custom rubber elephant trunks. These
trunks are also known as drop boots or drop
chutes. Standard construction is a high
grade natural rubber to handle extreme abrasion. But we can make them out of virtually
any rubber. All of Stockton’s elephant trunks
are mandrel made from uncured rubber and Never forget Stockton
autoclaved. This means they have NO splice Rubber for Elephant Trunk
to prematurely fail. We can manufacture
these products in virtually any size or shape, square,
round, rectangle, straight or tapered. We can offer
them with or without fabric reinforcing. The most
common application is the drop boot under cement
batching plants. But we have made them for the
chemical and mining industry as well as for air
transfers. So if you have some custom application
give Stockton a call.

Bailey-Parks Custom Urethane Compounds
One of the real strengths of BaileyParks Urethane has always been their
ability to custom engineer parts for
some of the most demanding applications. Bailey-Parks looks at every part
to determine the exact function the part
is being designed for. Is the part subjected to impact, abrasion, cutting action? What temperature will it be exposed to? Is there oil or water in contact with the part? Will the part have
any machining done to it? Are there
chemicals coming in contact with the part? Conceivably
everyone of these questions will narrow down the urethane compound that BPU could select for that part.
You may notice that color and durometer have not even
been addressed at this point.
BPU formulates over 600 different urethane compounds/
formulations. This is a matrix of MDI, TDI, TPU, Ether,
Ester hardness and color. We have both FDA and
USDA approved compounds. As well as
many different curatives and additives
for specific proposes. So remember that
urethane isn’t just color and durometer,
there are many things that go into a urethane part.
For example BPU has just begun working with a new high temperature 200C
(390F) urethane compound. It is only
available in 58D and 75D Duro. But it
has excellent retention of hardness at
elevated temperatures. It also offers excellent elastic
modulus, abrasion resistance and hydrolytic stability.
Bailey-Parks has 573 years of combined service in the
urethane business.
Remember it isn’t just color and durometer! So what
does your part require?
McAllister’s Furnace/Oven Door Gaskets
McAllister Mills, the leader in High Temperature Textiles introduces a new standard in Furnace/Oven Door
Gaskets (sometimes called Tadpole Tape). HT-Flex750i is manufactured with the latest in high temperature fabrics uniquely designed for sealing oven/furnace
and boiler doors. The base fabric is a fiberglass cloth
with inconel wire reinforcement along with a state of the
art treatment that keeps the gasket flexible and resilient up to 1300°F/715°C.
Often times a door gasket is used well above its practical
limit. Tadpole gaskets with standard untreated fiberglass fabric covers become brittle at around 800°F. Even
a Vermiculite Coated Fiberglass Tadpole will not stay
flexible at even 1000°F. When the gasket is brittle its
durability as a seal becomes ineffective. HT-Flex-750i/
IC is manufactured with an Inconel Wire inserted, proprietary high temperature treated outer cover that stays
flexible and abrasion resistant up to 1300°F/715°C. The
fabric also is woven with a specially designed twill fabric
which further aids in its durability and flexibility.
McAllister Mills also manufactures HT-Flex 750i/SC
which has a Silica Rope insert. McAllister Mills manufactures a variety of Furnace, Oven and Boiler Door
Gaskets (Tadpole Tapes) for a variety of end use applications.
Power Plastics in Waste Water Treatment Systems
Plastic Power transmission components are used extensively
in waste water treatment plants. The high abrasion resistance
of UHMW and Nylatron plastics allow engineers to design
modern water treatment plant drive systems using plastic
power transmission parts. Engineering grade plastics are impervious to corrosion due to environmental exposure and
make them ideal for these underwater applications. Plastics
can replace costly stainless steel and oil lubricated ball bearings which fail in the harsh waste treatment business.
Power Plastics manufactures the plastic parts used in the rectangular clarifier systems that are found in today’s larger metropolitan plants and at corporate sites that treat their own
waste water. Power Plastics fabricates 720 collection chain
sprockets they are fully split and machined from UHMW
plate. We also offer sprockets with or without nylon static
bushings. Power Plastics manufactures NH 78 sheer pin
drive sprockets. We also offer counter slotted carry and return UHMW wear railings. These Railings are welded to the
substrate with stainless steel weld washers. We offer a wide
array of UHMW carry and return wear shoes and mounting
blocks used to mount on the 720 collector chains.
