A Whole New
Outlook on Syncplicity.
Syncplicity Add-in for Microsoft Outlook.
Syncplicity is an enterprise-class file sync and share solution that enables internal and external collaboration.
The Syncplicity Add-in for Microsoft Outlook allows users to easily share files from within their existing email
application, while securing the transfer of sensitive information to both internal and external recipients.
Drive Productivity with the Syncplicity Add-in for Outlook
Most organizations have file size limitations on email attachments, which hinder
business productivity. The Syncplicity Add-in for Outlook enables business users
to, securely and easily, send files and folders of any size directly from Microsoft
Outlook, without requiring users to change the way they work. This removes
one of the biggest productivity barriers in enterprises today.
To send files and folders securely via Syncplicity, users can either click on the
standard paperclip icon, or select menu items “Attach Files, Attach Folders, or
Files from Syncplicity” from the Syncplicity ribbon in the new email window of
the Outlook toolbar.
[email protected] Demo requires you to login to Syncplicity before accessing the file.

Syncplicity makes it easy to share content from a number of different sources.
Users have the ability to upload content from their desktop as well as cloud
content from their Syncplicity account. Once content is “attached”, the email is
delivered with a Syncplicity shared link to the file or folder. Content can either
be downloaded directly or downloaded after authentication depending on the
security parameters set by IT and/or the sender.

securely & easily,
send files & folders of

Syncplicity Add-in.
The Syncplicity Add-in for Outlook also provides flexible end-user settings that enable
users to set file link expiration, require recipients to log in, and require recipients to
enter a password to access Syncplicity shared links. They can also make it a requirement to always send files over a certain size via the Syncplicity Add-in.
Key Differentiators

• Easily attach large
files & folders
• Send files using
standard email workflow

Reduce
Infrastructure Costs
From an enterprise IT perspective, the Syncplicity Add-in for Outlook reduces storage
infrastructure costs dramatically. Email systems add a 33% overhead for every
attachment - a 10GB attachment becomes 13.3GB. Furthermore, since on an average,
there are 4 copies of each attachment, this single large file can take up 53.2 GB –
creating huge storage costs for the enterprise. Syncplicity Enterprise Edition customers
using an on-premise storage option will see a dramatic reduction in storage because of
de-duplication and other optimizations. For customers using a pure cloud option that
has unlimited storage, all storage costs are eliminated.
• File type exclusion to
ensure data security
• Enforces Rights
Management policies

end-user Manage & Secure At Scale
Another key feature is the ability to deploy and manage the Syncplicity Add-in for
Outlook at scale via Syncplicity’s group-based policies IT can flexibly deploy the Add-in
for all of their users or deploy it on a group by-group basis. All the Add-in policies can
also be set at the group level.
From an enterprise security perspective, the Add-in ensures the protection of
intellectual property. IT can require that all files are password protected and endusers can demand recipients’ login to retrieve files. Furthermore, since the Syncplicity
Add-In for Outlook respects existing rights management policies, IT can maintain
control of digital content after it is shared outside the enterprise.
