Four Categories for Judging
 Miniature gardens by hobbyists
 Other container gardens by hobbyists
 Flower arrangements by hobbyists
 Gardens/flower arrangements by professional floral designers, landscapers, garden artisans or instructors of these
subjects
Prizes for Each Category
 1st place prizes will be $100 Village Mall gift certificates
 2nd place prizes will be $20 For the Birds Garden Gifts certificates
Three Options to Register
 Complete and return the attached registration form to For the Birds Garden Gifts, 1332 Draper Street, Suite A,

 Space is limited so early registration is encouraged. All participants will be entered into a drawing to win a prize valued at

$25. Register for the show by May 9 to receive five extra opportunities to win the prize.
Schedule
 Check-in at For the Birds Garden Gifts on Friday, May 15, between 3:30 and 6:00 p.m. or Saturday, May 16, from 7:30 to
8:00 a.m.
 Show hours: Friday, May 15, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. & Saturday, May 16, 8:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.

 Impartial Judging Panel: May 16 , after 8:30 a.m. Winning entries identified Saturday, May 16th.
 Gardens and arrangements may be picked-up between 4:30 and 5:00 PM on May 16th.
Show Guidelines
 Entries may be flower arrangements, miniature, container, bonsai, terrarium, alpine, and/or rock gardens.
 Gardens/flower arrangements should be no larger than approx. 24 x 36 inches.
 Living plants/flowers and/or cut flowers must be used in each entry.
 Submissions must be the original work of the individual or group participant(s) (designing and assembling).
 Participants can win in only one category, but may enter multiple gardens and/or flower arrangements.
 Until judging is complete, participants’ names will not be displayed.
 Gardens and/or arrangements entered in the show will not be for sale during the festival.
 Village Mall merchants may participate but are not eligible to win prizes.

Show Competition, I/we agree to the show guidelines and to the following statements.
I/we agree to have digital photos taken at the event and to have such photos distributed to the media and/or
used for future advertising of this event. Photos may be taken of participants and/or garden/flower
submissions. I/we agree to have gardens/flower arrangements in the areas designated in the Village Mall. I/we
assume all risk connected with participation in the Kingsburg Swedish Festival and this event and will not make
a claim against, sue or attach the property of the Kingsburg District Chamber of Commerce, its members,
employees, volunteers, committee members, or sponsors , the City of Kingsburg, For the Birds Garden Gifts,
The Village Mall or its establishments, for injury, damage, or loss, even if by negligence or event cancellation,
however caused, and hereby release any of the above mentioned parties from all actions, claims, or demands
that I, my assignees, heirs, guardians, and legal representatives now have, for injury, loss, or damage resulting
