Saab at LAAD 2015
Saab will have a strong presence at the 2015 LAAD International Defense and Security
Exhibition with a full range of systems and solutions on show for air, land and sea. Saab’s
Gripen fighter, selected by Brazil to meet its next-generation combat aircraft requirements, will
be the centre of attention at LAAD. Alongside Gripen, Saab will demonstrate its expertise in
airborne early warning, air defence, naval systems, command and control, multi-mission
sensors, ground combat systems, training and simulation, electronic warfare and SIGINT.
Defence and security company Saab will attend the LAAD 2015 International Defense and Security
Exhibition, held at the Riocentro exhibition centre, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from April 14 to 17.
LAAD is a vital forum for Brazilian industry and its international partners. It attracts exhibitors,
customers and visitors from all around the world and speaks to a global audience. For Saab, LAAD is
a major opportunity to strengthen relationships with customers and partners in Brazil and across Latin
America.
“Brazil is already a strategic partner for Saab,” says Bo Torrestedt, head of Saab market area
Latin America. “With the Gripen programme we are building something together that is truly
unique, but I believe there are many more opportunities here for us to cooperate further. LAAD
is a superb venue for us to show the wide range of Saab’s capabilities to all of Latin America,
and to talk to customers about new ideas and new solutions for the air, land and sea domains.”
During Wednesday April 15 Saab will host its main media event.
