JURISDICTION th This event is a Rallysprint, promoted by the South Auckland Car Club and will take place on SUNDAY 26 April 2015 The event is a qualifying round of the ABC Pipefitters Northern Rallysprint Series. Being Rnd 4 of 6 The event is a Club sport advanced event and is open to members of Motorsport N.Z affiliated clubs. The Motorsport NZ Permit Number is TBA 2. THE EVENT 3.1 Will be held at Maramarua Forest, Western block. Entry thru West Rd gate, signposted from S/H 2 forestry HQ turnoff. . 3.2 Documentation and scrutineering will be held at the pit side at SACC’s HQ (caravan), from 8.00am to 9.00am.on the day. 3.3 Drivers Briefing – 9.15 am. (Ensure you are ready to race when attending drivers briefing) A roll call will be held at HQ and any driver not attending will be deemed a non-starter. 3.4 Familiarization Run – 9.30 am. All competitors must travel the course under the supervision of the Clerk of Course. A window of 10 minutes will be allocated from the finish of drivers briefing for you to leave the pit area. If you are late, you may miss out!! 4. ENTRIES 4.1 Opening and Closing: These open with the publication of these regulations and close at 5.00pm, Tuesday 21st April 2015. 4.2 Entry Acceptance: Entries shall be made on the correct form and to be deemed valid must be complete in all details and accompanied by the appropriate fees. Acceptance will be at the organising committee’s discretion. Organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry in accordance with the prescribed provisions of the National Sporting Code. 4.3 Due to the Event being close to Rally Whangarei, competitors are requested to enter early, to assist organisers. Those who withdraw from the event prior to the day, must notify the event secretary and will have their ENTRY FEE REFUNDED IN FULL. 4.4 Fees: Competing vehicle; Entry Fee $185.00 including GST, motorsport levies, and helpers smiley face fund. SACC member’s entry fee $175.00 including GST, motorsport levies, and helper’s smiley face fund. Late Entry Fee $250.oo 4.4 Number of Starters: There will a maximum of 60 entries; with series entrants taking priority, and the organisers reserve the right to abandon the event if less than 35 entries are received at normal closing date. 4.7 Competitor Requirements: (1) Knowledge and Understandings: In signing the entry forms competitors (Entrant and Drivers) are deemed to fully understand the Motorsport NZ National Sporting Code and its relevant Appendices and Schedules. Particularly, the National Sporting Code articles pertaining to protests and competitors obligations 5. ELIGIBLE VEHICLES 5.1 Compliance: All vehicles shall comply with Appendix Two Schedule A and Appendix Three Schedule R of the current Motorsport Manual unless stated otherwise in these supplementary regulations. 5.2 Classes: As per series rules, the event will run elimination format, in classes as follows: Class A = 0-1300 | Class B = 1301-1600 | Class C = 1601-2000 | Class D = 2001 & over | Class E = All 4WD I Class H = Classic. 6. DOCUMENTATION AND SCRUTINEERING AUDIT 6.1 All competitors must present themselves at documentation for the checking of licences and documents, issuing of competition numbers prior to presenting the car for audit scrutineering. Documentation and Scrutineering will be held on the day at the venue. If your vehicle has not been scrutineered in the last three events you will be required to get it checked, it is a requirement of entry that you state the number of events since last full audit, on your entry form. 6.2 Please be aware of the race suit rules as you need 2 layer suits or 1 layer with fire proof underwear, also fire extinguisher(s) now must have 2 steel straps holding them into the bracket, these items may be checked on, during the day. 7. RESULTS 7.1 Provisional results will be posted during the day at the event HQ. 7.2 Final results will be posted at the after function, which will be held at the RED FOX TAVERN Maramarua ALL competitors are requested to attend. Food and Refreshments will be available. 8. TIMING 8.1 Will be by Electronic Light Start & Beam Finish. 8.2 As per series rule, the system of elimination will take place. Any queries please ask COC, or a Series Convener. 8.3 A 30 second penalty will be given for jumping the start, as judged by the judge of fact, at the start line. 9, SEEDING 9.1, Seeding will be at the discretion of the organizers, and to the best of their ability. . 9.2 ,Seeding will be fastest to slowest, as seen by the organizers, starting with 4wd to 0-1300cc 10, General 10.1 Please no deliberate cutting of the corners, as this drags big rocks out and is a major problem for other competitors. 10.2 Dual Drivers cars will be allowed. Please make a note of this on the entry. 10.3 Where necessary a clearance car will follow the last car after each run, those competitors who have broken down, will be towed to the pit area, only if the time taken to do so will not jeopardize the timing of the event. 10.4 No alcohol is to be consumed, by any competitor or their crew while the competition is in progress, any infringement result in disqualification from the event. 10.5 Any driver withdrawing from the event must notify Control or face exclusion from the results. 10.6 Prizes / Trophy’s will be allocated at the discretion of the organizers 10.7 All drivers will be liable for any damage they may cause.
