SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS
1.
TITLE OF COMPETITION:
The competition will be known as the LANDMARK HOMES PORT ROAD STREET SPRINT.
2.
THE PROMOTERS:

DATE & TIME:
The competition will be held on Sunday 26th October 2014 with a compulsory drivers briefing at the start line at
8.00am.( or as close to this time as possible )
Competition will commence immediately following drivers briefing.
4.
STATUS OF COMPETITION:
The competition is a Clubsport Advanced Event held in accordance with the National Sporting Code of MotorSport
New Zealand Inc. and these Supplementary Regulations and any Additional Supplementary Regulations.
This event is a round of the DUNCAN MCKENZIE and RON SCANLON trophy series.
The MSNZ Permit Number is 10997.
5.
VENUE:
The venue for the competition is Port Road, Seaview incorporating Barnes & Meachen Streets. There will be a map of
the course at the start line on Sunday morning. The surface is sealed and approximately 2.0km in length.

7.
NUMBER OF STARTERS:
Only one competing car will be permitted on the course at any time
8.
ENTRIES:
An entry to this event will only be confirmed on the receipt of a fully completed official entry fee and the receipt of the
correct entry fee. All official entry forms are to be posted to:

Payment of the entry fee of $90.00 (discounted to $80.00 for HVMC members) can either accompany the entry form
(with cheques made payable to Hutt Valley Motorsport Club Inc) or paid on line to the Hutt Valley Motorsport Club

Late entries may be accepted up until 4pm Saturday 25 October, if accompanied by the late entry fee of $130.00
All entry forms MUST be posted! No entry forms will be accepted by email!
A full refund will be given if an entry is withdrawn prior to close of normal entries. Refunds at the organisers’ discretion
may be made after that date.
Entries will be receipted in order received of both the official entry form and correct entry fee payment.
Note: As per the decision of the organisers, NO SINGLE SEATER CARS WILL BE PERMITTED TO ENTER THIS EVENT.
IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ :
The club will accept up to 50 entries (with the provision that additional entries will be allowed if time permits) to
guarantee that all entrants will receive their full quota of timed runs, even if there are stoppages on the day for
incoming and outgoing traffic.
Over recent years, this event has been extremely popular with a large numbers of competitors wishing to enter.
Therefore it is important to get your official entry form posted in and payment made early to secure your spot in the 50.
A backup list will be made of people who enter and fall outside of the 50, in order of receipt of entry form and payment.
If for any reason, a competitor in the original 50 withdraws then the next entrant on the backup list will be offered a
position in the field.
DOUBLE entries are allowed but these will not be upheld if there are 50 or more entrants, as it is the organisers’
decision to make sure as many people are able to compete in the event. This decision is FINAL.
The organisers reserve the right to cancel the event if less than 30 entries are received at normal closing date.
9.
SAFETY AUDIT & DOCUMENTATION:

Safety Audit, as per Appendix 5, Schedule C of the NZ Motorsport Manual Edition 34, will be held on Saturday 25
October 2014 at The Hutt Valley Motorsport Clubrooms, in Halford Place(far end of Jackson St), Petone between
2.00pm- 4.00pm.
If bringing your vehicle on a trailer, please do a U turn at the end of the cul de sac (which will have coned off), and
unload your car away from the Clubrooms to allow room for the officials to inspect the vehicles. Your co operation with
this on the day will be much appreciated.
COMPETITORS UNABLE TO ATTEND SCRUTINEERING, MUST ADVISE THE SECRETARY, PRIOR TO 2PM SATURDAY

25 October 2014. OTHER ARRANGEMENTS WILL BE MADE.
As much of the scrutineering as possible will be completed on the Saturday as this makes the start time much easier
to achieve on the Sunday if not still carrying out audits. Thank you.
Documentation will be held in conjunction with safety audit.

Harness Belts are to comply with the new Motorsport NZ rulings.
i.e. 5 yrs after expiry for FIA belts only.
Tyres to be used for the event
NOTE: AS PER APP 2 SCH A 4.8 (3) (a) & (b)
NO SLICK TYRES CAN BE USED AT THIS EVENT
All vehicles MUST display the safety audit sticker provided during competition.
All vehicles MUST be presented in a clean & tidy condition.
All vehicles MUST be fitted with an effective muffler.
All vehicles may be jacked up as part of the inspection process.
You will be able to take passengers for a ride, if the car complies with Appendix 5, Schedule C. There is a box on the entry
form, which you must tick if you wish to carry passengers. NOTE: Competitors MUST supply correct helmet and overalls. Both
sets must be available for inspection at scrutineering. Drivers must brief their passengers on how to correctly wear and
subsequently uncouple the safety harness, and how to exit quickly from the vehicle in the event of an emergency.
10.
Reconnaissance:
Following drivers briefing ALL competitors will be required to make one reconnaissance tour in convoy.
Note, there will be no timed practice run.
11.
OFFICIAL RUNS:
It is intended that all competitors will have the same number of official timed runs, except that where a competitor fails
to start when required, that competitor will forfeit that run. It is intended to run four official timed runs.
Competitors will be required to run in numerical order. Should a competitor fail to do so, without dispensation from the
Clerk of the Course, the competitor will forfeit that run.
12.
BEHAVIOUR:
Competitors are to drive considerately and gently except when competing.
Competitors are requested to ensure the parking and pit areas are left in a clean and tidy state.
Failure to comply with the above may result in exclusion from the results.
Competitors are requested to refrain from the temptation to familiarize themselves with the course prior to competition.
Although the organisers are unable to prevent competitors from visiting the location you are reminded them that road
closures are not easy to obtain and abuse of this privilege will not be tolerated.
PLEASE NOTE :
Competitors are not permitted to warm their cars up by driving past the Port Rd bridge and toward the Hutt Park
roundabout. All vehicles must stay within the Bridge restriction area unless granted permission to leave the venue by
the Clerk of the Course.
Competitors are not permitted to warm up their car’s tires and brakes vehicles by driving in the pit lane area for safety
reasons.
IMPORTANT : Due to recent events, the Club would like to stress that any damage incurred to the circuit and or its
buildings/fences etc will be subject to MSNZ’s Insurance excess of $3500, and will be required to be paid for by the
competitor should any such damage occur.
13.
PROTESTS:
Protests will be in accordance with the National Sporting Code.
14.

15.
AFTER FUNCTION & PRIZEGIVING:
Following the event clean up there will be a prize giving at the HVMC clubrooms, Halford Place, Petone.
Competition winners and placegetters are requested to attend the prize giving; if unable to attend prize giving please
ensure someone can accept your trophy/certificate in your place.
16.
SPECTATING
THIS IS A NON SPECTATOR EVENT; no spectators will be permitted within the venue or the pit area. Spectating will
only be available outside the fences at Barnes St and the marina end of Port Rd.
If you wish to view the competition, the club is more than happy to gain your services by marshaling at the event.

17.
PHOTOGRAPHERS :
In the interests of safety, only ‘Motorsport NZ’ affiliated photographers and their assistants will be permitted into the
competition area. Permission will be granted only to approved photographers who have made their interest known
PRIOR to the event to the Clerk of the Course.
18.
PIT AREA
The area between the bridge and start line is reserved for competitor and service vehicles only.
There will be NO parking on the Left handside of Port Road (Fuel Depot Side). All competitors are asked to park their
cars on the diagonal to ensure all cars fit in. Service vehicles must park on the grass on the harbour side of Port Road
but not in the semi-circle used as access to the Shell Depot.
