Please join us for a communitywide observance to honor the memory
of the six million Jews who perished in the Holocaust.

GUEST SPEAKERS
Maria Winkler, child of Holocaust survivors, shares
the story of her father, Joseph, a chemist and
inventor, who was in charge of the Galicia Oil
Refinery in Poland and who, literally, engineered his
survival.
Sy Karfiol was one of thousands of hidden children
who lived with and was raised by a Catholic family
between the ages of 2-6 in Belgium. His father
survived Auschwitz but his mother and grandmother
were murdered by the Nazis.

If you’re a survivor, child of a survivor or grandchild of a survivor and want to
join the candle lighting ceremony, meet at 6:45pm at Congregation B’nai Israel.
Kosher refreshments immediately following the program hosted by B’nai Israel.
