“The Matchmaker”
(“Paam Hayiti”)
This coming-of-age comedy/drama, directed by Avi Nesher
and set in 1968, tells the story of a Haifa teen, son of a
Holocaust survivor, who finds a summer job as an assistant
to another survivor, a mysterious war-scarred matchmaker.
The 2010 film is 112 minutes long, is in Hebrew with English
subtitles and is unrated.
