Netball 2015
The Netball season begins Saturday May 2, 2015 at the Arawang Netball Courts, Streeton Drive
Stirling. If your child wishes to play netball with a school team please fill in the form below (contact
details are important for the coaches and myself).

Yr 2 - $105.00
Yr 3, 4 - $110.00
Yr 5, 6 - $115.00
[This cost includes Netball Australia fee, Netball ACT Sports Injury Insurance, Netball ACT
registration fee, Arawang Netball Association Membership and Registration for players, coaches and
umpires and Sacred Heart Netball equipment]
Volunteers are always needed and if you would like to help coach or manage a netball team please
let me know.
All volunteers will be required to have of apply for the Working with Vulnerable People background
check - http://www.ors.act.gov.au/community/working_with_vulnerable_people
All volunteers will also be required to complete the ANA Membership application at page 3.
Please return the form attached to the Front Office no later than Friday
6 March.
Payment MUST be included with the form.
If your payment is not received then your child will not be allocated into a team regardless of having had a
place and played for the school in 2014.
Teams will be formed following this date and will not be changed for late submissions as deadlines apply for
registration with Arawang.
Please consider assisting with the coaching or managing of your childs team. Without parents involvement
and nominated coaches we are unable to register our teams.

DUTY ROSTERS – Arawang still do not have a 2,3,4 convenor, if you would like to volunteer, please
let me know. However, as a result (as per last year) each team will have to be rostered on to duty for
setting up the courts. This involves making sure that all the post pads are on, the posts at the correct
height etc. No game will be able to be played unless all the courts have been set up. It also involves
getting the score sheets onto boards and in the boxes ready for collection. Hopefully it would only be
once per season per team, however the duty team will be responsible for the all courts not just their
teams. Please contact me if you want to know more about this role at Arawang.
DATES CHANGES
This year Australia is hosting the World Cup and because of this, no Saturday netball will be played
while the World Cup is being played in Sydney during August, in addition we also have the usual
junior championships in August, which means that Arawang can’t schedule any games for August. To
get as many rounds in as possible, the competition will start on Saturday 2 May and finish on 25
July. We will be playing the June long weekend and also the first and last Saturdays of the July
school holidays.
