2015 Class Catalog
Founded in 1993 by parents, community leaders and teachers who were concerned about continual and drastic state budget cuts,
AEF’s raises funds that benefit all AUSD schools and students, and is the official fundraising partner of the District. Over the past 20
years, the Foundation has donated more than $1.8 million to the District to support a variety of programs and services for our students at all school sites.
Last year, AEF launched an exciting new community fundraising campaign, “Music & More.”
The goal was to raise $300,000 to bring in-class music instruction to all Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and
3rd grade students in the 13 elementary schools of Alhambra Unified School District (AUSD). What’s
more, AEF’s Music & More campaign has this year provided funding support for our 4-8th grade band
and orchestra programs to help pay for instruments, music, and supplies.
At AUSD’s high schools (Alhambra, Mark Keppel, San Gabriel, Century/Independence), AEF funded a new college and career counselor (part-time) to help all students in grades 9-12 with their college research, college application process, and career counseling opportunities. In addition, “Music & More” funded the new College Adventures field trip program that will give juniors and seniors the opportunity
to visit and explore our local colleges and universities.

“Music & More” met its goal for 2014-15 of raising $300,00 and because of generous contributions by parents like you, these
programs have been implemented this year in our schools. In order to continue these programs in the future, we need to
again raise $300,000 this year and again ask for your help. Please help us continue these needed programs in our schools by
making a generous tax-deductible donation to AEF. Your donations are gratefully appreciated!
From Kindergarten to twelfth grade, new music programs to high school college counseling, AEF has become a welcome partner in
ensuring excellence for our students — now and in the future.

In addition, “Music & More” funded the new College Adventures field trip program that will give juniors and seniors the opportunity
to visit and explore our local colleges and universities.

again raise $300,000 this year and again ask for your help. Please help us continue these needed programs in our schools by
making a generous tax-deductible donation to AEF. Your donations are gratefully appreciated!
From Kindergarten to twelfth grade, new music programs to high school college counseling, AEF has become a welcome partner in
