ABOUT US
Our company came about following a meeting of individuals who chose to accept a challenge. The challenge is to
help you rediscover saffron, this unique spice that has
become known poetically as “red gold,” the essential ingredient.
The saffron we offer you is unique in the sense that we
grow it ourselves, carefully, in Kosovo, where we enjoy the
best climatic conditions.
There, we use ancestral techniques, handling the saffron
flower carefully, enabling us to obtain a spice of unquestionable quality.
SAFFRON IN KOSOVO
Whenever we mention saffron, we immediately
think of Iran, Kashmir, Spain or Greece, but we
never even thinkabout Kosovo. In His book
“Kosova - a short history of a central Balkan country”
author Oliver Jens Schmitt, states that saffron was grown
in Kosovo since the XV century. American writer
Noel Malcolm in his book “Kosovo a shorthistory” points
out that Kosovo’s economic resources in the XV century
were silk, silver and saffron.Sample analyses
of the saffron produced in Kosovo showed that
saffron is of first class quality.
