PROCEDURES AND REQUIREMENTS FOR APLICATION
PLEASE READ THIS PAGE CAREFULLY
1. Applicant must completely fill out the application form.
2. The application form must be returned to Mrs. Snyder in the Guidance Office by
Wednesday April 8, 2015.
3. To be considered for a scholarship, we will need to review your 2015-2016 FAFSA.
Please submit a copy of your FAFSA form (including the Electronic Student Aid
Report created after the online submission), in a sealed envelope, with your name on
the outside. STAPLE THE SEALED ENVELOPE TO YOUR APPLICATION and
give it to Mrs. Snyder.
4. Personal interviews are required for those applicants selected as finalists. Finalists
will be interviewed on Wednesday, May 13 or Thursday, May 14, after 4:00 pm. In case
of an emergency that would prevent you from attending an interview, you should contact
Mrs. Snyder in the Guidance Office.
5. Finalists must bring these items to the interview:
a. Proof of acceptance to an institution of higher learning.
b. Statement of financial aid awarded from the college.
c. The policy of your college regarding the reduction of college financial aid as a
result of any grants received from us. A copy of the college’s website page stating
its policy is acceptable.
6. At the time of the interview, you should be prepared to present specifics regarding the
current status of your financial package. You should also be prepared to explain the
approximate amount your family will be able to contribute to the cost of your education.
7. Scholarship awards will be made directly to the institution of the recipient’s choice, not
to the individual recipients. The scholarship recipient MUST provide complete
contact information and mailing address for the institution in a timely manner. If
the recipient does not provide the required information, the scholarship may be forfeited.
8. The Scholarship Committee will have the final decision on the selection of recipients and
the amount to be awarded to each one.
9. If a recipient changes the choice of college, the scholarship committee reserves the right
to change the amount allocated.
10. Grants must be used within one year of the award unless otherwise stipulated by the
committee.
