AAU Tournament
Rules and Regulations
1) Sixteen (16) minute halves. Note: Stop time per half with 5 minute halftime.
2) Boys’ tournament is governed by high school federation rules. Girls’
tournament is governed by N.C.A.A. women’s rules. Please note the following
exceptions for all groups and divisions:
a. Three (3) full time-outs per game.
b. One and one bonus on tenth (10th) team foul per half.
Double bonus on twelfth (12th) team foul per half.
3) Forfeit time is 15 minutes after scheduled game time.
Brewster Sports Center is not responsible for any forfeits.
4) All teams need to be prepared with 2 uniform shirts (or reversible).
5) Rosters are limited to 15 players.
6) Brewster Sports Center will provide warm-up basketballs and game ball.
7) Overtime: Two (2) minute overtime periods (stop time). One additional time-out.
Third overtime period (if necessary) will be sudden death.
8) Game warm-up is 5 minutes.
9) NOTE: ZERO TOLERANCE FOR FIGHTING OR LEAVING THE BENCH.
YOU WILL BE EJECTED FROM THE REST OF THE TOURNAMENT.
10) PLEASE - No dunking during warm-ups.
11) No Protests.
12) Three (3) point shots allowed in all age groups
13) Ties will be broken by head-to-head competition, 15 point differential per game.
14) Clock does not stop on a made basket (last minute of play).
15) In case of a 20 plus point lead with less than 3 minutes to play, the clock will run
non-stop with the exception of time-outs or injuries.
16.) At least one team is responsible for keeping the book. The Brewster Sports
Center only provides a clock worker.
