The 2nd garden workday is scheduled for Saturday, May
9th (rain date Saturday, May 16th). This will be a planting
and mulch day starting at 8:00 AM, please sign up on the
sheet on the Garden Bulletin board.
If you would like to make a monetary donation for
seeds, plants, mulch, or garden soil, you may give them
to Lee or Brenda, or put in offering plate (marked for
Community Garden). Please make your checks payable to
St. Paul’s..
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Sign up on the sheet on the Community Garden
bulletin board for a week (OR TWO) to take care of the
day-to-day garden maintenance: watering, weeding and
harvesting.
Sign up with another person or family. Our garden is
a lot for one person to take care of during peak weeks, the
end of June thru early September.
THINGS TO REMEMBER!
The key to the shed where garden tools are kept should
be passed to the person on garden duty the next week.
The two rain barrels are to be used to water by
watering can. There are also hoses available.
Check the harvesting directions on the bulletin board
under the pavilion if you are questioning how big or when
to pick. Bags are available under the pavilion in the bag
container hanging beside the bulletin board.
Remember at the end of your weekly shift to write
notes on the bulletin board for the next person. EX: when
you watered last or when you picked anything last.
All harvested veggies should be put in the refrigerator
in the kitchen. Let Lee know when you do this so delivery
to New Hope can be set up. If you can’t access the kitchen,
contact Lee and he will pick up veggies that same day.
Any questions contact Lee (514-2095 – [email protected]) or
Brenda (796-0939 – [email protected]).
