Dear Student,
We welcome you to life on campus and to your dining program. All of us at BYU
Dining Services are committed to your academic success, knowing that what you
eat has a great impact on your health and emotional well being. The old maxim,
“Eat Right and Be Bright” is true.
BYU Dining Services is a nationally recognized program, which has received
accolades from the National Association of College & University Food Services,
Food Management Magazine, FoodService Director Magazine and has received
the prestigious Restaurant and Institutions IVY Award. Last year we received the
coveted Best Concept Award and in 2012 we were nominated for the ACE Award,
the highest honor in catering. Our convenience stores – The Creameries – were
recognized by the National Convenience Store Association in June 2012 for being
the best on any college campus.
Our entire team is here to serve you! As the largest employer of BYU students,
over 2,000 of your fellow students work hard to provide the freshest, most
nutritional food available. BYU operates the Culinary Support Center, behind
Heritage Halls, which provides us with the freshest produce, meats, dairy and
baked goods available. This unique production facility is unlike any other in the
country. While you are on campus, please give us a call at 801.422.4935 to
arrange a tour.
Whether you dine at The Commons, shop at the Creamery On Ninth, or have
lunch at the Cougareat, you will find your Dining Dollars go further and can’t be
beat for convenience. Thank you for dining on campus and having a meal plan.
We wish you success in all of your academic endeavors.
