SHOOTING SPORTS Shooting Sports Practice 3rd Saturday of Every Month Del Norte Gun Club—Rio Rancho Meet @ Archery Range Someone should be at gate until 10:05 County “Shoot-Out” Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. Del Norte Gun Club– in Rio Rancho This is to qualify for the State Shoot in Raton SANDOVAL COUNTY 4-H HOSTING NORTHWEST DISTRICT CONTEST—JUNE 15, 16, 17, 2015 NW District Contest will be hosted by Sandoval County 4-H this year. The Shooting Sports Contest will be on June 15 at the Del Norte Gun Club. All other contests will take place at Bernalillo Middle School on June 16, and 17. The Council voted on “4-H Gold Rush” as the Theme. We will be in charge of feeding everyone dinner on June 16, 2015. We are asking each Club to bring two to three banana or chocolate cream pies. If you are interested in making beans or papitas (potatoes), please call Nicole at the Extension Office. County Council is responsible for a concession stand ALL three days. We are asking Youth and Adults to sign up for at least one 2 hour time shift. More information and sign-up sheet on the Contest attached (next page) to this Newsletter. Scholarship will cover 50% of the registration expenses for Senior Leadership Retreat, Youth-Get-Away, Livestock School, Horse School, Home Ec School, 4-H Dog School, or $250 of the team fees for serving as a State 4-H Officer, Ambassador, or Diplomat. The scholarship will cover 100% of the registration expenses for 4-H County Camp. The funding may not be used to attend State Conference, State 4-H Shooting sports Contest, nor District Contest. Scholarship Criteria—Available to any Novice, Junior or Senior 4-H Member.
