PROJECT PHOENIX EduTrax Instructional Management Solution Phoenix/EIM© ADDING A STUDENT TO AN ONLINE ASSESSMENT QUICK GUIDE & ILLUSTRATED HELP Version 1.5.1.1 This quick guide will assist in explaining the process of adding a new student to an online assessment. Student data is transferred to the Phoenix program on a nightly basis, but often times a new student will enroll at your school and need to be tested on the same day. In this case, the student will likely not be in the data transferred from Infinite Campus the prior night and not exist in your class roster. QUICK GUIDE 1. Navigate to the online assessment option in Phoenix (see Online Assessment guide for details). 2. After selecting the appropriate subject, course, and test select the options for administering an online assessment. Select the desired roster classes and select the Open Test Session 3. Navigate to the Test Session page using the Go To Test Session link. 4. Click on the Supplemental Students tab just to the right of the Conduct a Session tab. 5. Select the desired course and section for the new student and fill in the student ID, Last Name, First Name, and grade level. 6. Click the Add Student to selected class link at the bottom. IMPORTANT—record the student ID number and last name for the new student. These will be needed for that student to access the online assessment web site. 7. Click the Start test session as usual, recording the assigned PIN number needed for the online access. 8. Administer the assessment as usual. New students will not be able to navigate to the student assessment portal that current students use since they have no APS network ID set up yet. Have the student navigate to this link: https://apsk12.edutrax.us/studentaccess.aspx Students will need to enter their last name for the login ID and their student ID as the password. Once they login, they will see the assessment dashboard the same as other students. ILLUSTRATED HELP GUIDE 1. After opening the test session, select Go To Test Session. You will now see the Tab Options shown. 2. After selecting the online assessment options and opening the test session, click on the Supplemental Students tab. 3. Complete all the student data and select Add student to selected class. Write down the *** NOTE*** that indicates that the new student login is LAST NAME. Password is student ID NUMBER. 4. When finished – select the CONDUCT a TEST SESSION tab and START TEST. After starting the test, you will see the SESSION PIN CODE. Students will need the PIN CODE to access the online test. A SUPPLEMENTAL STUDENT will not have Phoenix access directly and will need to use https://apsk12.edutrax.us/studentaccess.aspx Their LOG IN is their Last Name and password is student ID. Once they select the correct test that’s waiting for them, it will prompt them to enter their session PIN CODE.
