ACT Branch Student Conference Travel Award
Applications Close 15th April 2015.
Scholarship 2 Student registration fee plus pre-approved travel costs to a maximum value of
$2000 awarded to a student studying geophysics or a geophysics-related discipline using
geophysical data or concepts in a major project to attend an ASEG conference.
Conditions:
1. Must be currently studying geophysics or a geophysics-related discipline using
geophysical data or concepts in a major project at a Canberra based University
2. must be presenting a talk or poster at the conference
3. must currently be or apply to be a student member of the ASEG (free for students)
4. must repeat the presentation at an ACT Branch meeting and submit an article to an ASEG
publication (Exploration Geophysics or Preview)
5. willingness to promote the ASEG to other students in the ACT
6. must not have been awarded an ASEG travel award for the same course in the past 2 years.
The award will be judged on the selection criteria as outlined above merit by a panel consisting of
selected ASEG ACT branch members.
