Few points for parents to take note ofJ Summer vacation gives the best opportunity to spend time with your children and get closer to them. Though instilling good manners and etiquettes in your child is a long process, this is the best time when you can lay emphasis and work on their life skills. J Encourage your child to cultivate reading habit because it not only enhances the knowledge acquired but also develops the vocabulary, language skills and improves spellings. J Encourage your child to go out and play because sports, instill discipline, generate sporting spirits, channelize energies constructively. J Sensitize your child about the rich culture and heritage by watching different informative channels like ‘Discovery’, ‘Animal Planet’ etc. J Encourage your child to do the activities himself / herself and appoint a specific time to do homework everyday. MY MOTHER’S DRESS- Design your mother’s dress on an A-3 size sheet. Make a picture of your mother wearing her favourite dress (saree, suit,etc.) and design her dress in your own way using feathers, wool, waste material, glitters, etc. Q2. Go for a nature walk with your parents to a nearby park everyday. Pick up fallen leaves, flowers, dry twigs and learn about them. Then make a folder using handmade sheet and all that you collected during your nature walk. Name it as your folder ( MY FOLDER- YOUR NAME) Then prepare a list of ways on how you can help your mother and put it in the folder. Q3. Make a trophy for him with the help of your motherMaterial required- Paper/thermocole cup Yellow /golden paint Paintbrush Yellow/black thick pastel sheet Black marker Scissors and fevicol stars, glitters and other decorative material MethodPaint the cup with yellow/golden paint. Make sure to do the inside too. Set it aside to dry. With yellow/black pastel sheet cut out two handles for your trophy. Measure to make sure they fit nicely for the size of your cup. Cut out a circle of the size of the opening of your cup. Using your black marker, write "World's Best Dad" on your cup (once it is dry).Decorate it with stars and glitters. Stick the circle you made to the bottom of the cup. Stick a handle on each side of the cup. You can also fill your cup with some goodies or a message you want to give your father. E.V.S.
