2015 MCPP 1 Tenth Annual Midwestern Conference on Professional Psychology Psychology 490/590, Sec. 2 *General Information and Registration Form * Please read this information carefully, it provides detailed instructions about registering, fees, location, and other important information about the conference 2015 MCPP 2 Location and Schedule of Events Dates, Times, & Schedule of Events: Thursday March 26: Holiday Inn Ballroom 12:30-1 Registration 1-5 Research Presentations by MSU, Mankato graduate students and faculty 5:15 Social at Holiday Inn Ballroom o Appetizers will be provided Friday, March 27: Holiday Inn Ballroom 8:30-9:00 Registration 9:00-11:45 Professional Presentations 11:45-1:00 Lunch – Lunch will not be provided but there are several places within walking distance of the conference hotel 1:00-3:30 Professional Presentations Speakers schedule for Friday March 27 include: Dr. Janet Barnes-Farrell, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, University of Connecticut Dr. Jane Fisher, Clinical Psychologist, University of Nevada, Reno Dr. Robert West, Cognitive Psychologist, Iowa State University Dr. Jonathan Baker, Behavior Analyst, Southern Illinois University Location: March 26th & 27th, 2015 Holiday Inn and Suites 2365 NW 43rd St. (behind Cabella’s) Owatonna, MN 55060 507-446-8900 Transportation to the conference is NOT provided, but carpooling with other students is encouraged. It is likely other students in your classes or in Psi Chi and Psychology Club will be coming. Students may choose to stay overnight at the Holiday Inn – your registration fee does NOT include the cost of a hotel room. STAYING OVERNIGHT IS NOT REQUIRED. o If you wish to stay at the Holiday Inn Thursday night, please call the phone number above and tell them you are with “MSU” and you will receive a discounted room rate. 2015 MCPP 3 Instructions for Students Seeking Credit (this is a 1 credit course only) For all students registering for credit: You must receive a permission code from Dr. Buchanan in order to register for course credit. You can receive a permission code once you have completed the registration form below (on p. 4) and paid the $35 conference registration fee. You are responsible for registering for the course once permission has been electronically entered by Carol Seifert (Psychology Department Administrative Assistant). You may register anytime before March 26, 2015. o Please turn in the registration form and $35 registration fee to Dr. Jeff Buchanan or Christina Omlie in Armstrong Hall 23. Some students will need to pay for course credit in addition to paying the $35 registration fee. See below to determine if you need to pay tuition. 1. For MSU undergraduate students currently registered for 12-17 credits, there is no charge for course credit (you still must pay the $35 registration fee) Note: if you are currently registered for 18 credits and the conference represents your 19th credit taken, you will need to pay tuition for this credit 2.
