You can apply for this course if you have a recognised
bachelor degree in a discipline other than accounting, a
recognised four-year diploma or equivalent professional
qualification, or the Graduate Certificate in Professional
Accounting from Curtin. In addition you must meet
Curtin’s English competency standards.
Credit for recognised learning
If you have completed a Graduate Certificate in
Professional Accounting from Curtin, you will receive 100
credit points towards this course.
Professional recognition
On successful completion of the course, you will be
eligible for associate membership of CPA Australia.
Duration
This course comprises eight units and can be completed
in one year full-time or equivalent part-time study.

The Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting is
suitable if you have graduated from an area other than
accounting, or if you are a professional and wish to
further your career in a field that requires a general
understanding of accounting practices.
The graduate diploma offers you the opportunity to
sample the accounting discipline before you choose
to commence a comprehensive Master of Commerce
(Professional Accounting) course. It is also ideal if you
are seeking to further your career in commerce, industry,
government or public practice.
