This peer to peer scaffolding will be a rich experience where children learn from each other through play. MJR: Weekly helper The ‘1Percenters’ The ‘1 Percenters’ are just the little things that are important in our everyday lives. You can make someone’s day with these small acts and they help you to become a more giving person. Some examples of ‘1 percenters’ are: • holding a door open • saying ‘please’, ‘thank you’, ‘sorry’ and ‘excuse me’ • picking up a pencil for someone • or just giving someone a welcoming smile The small things in life are the very important things. Congratulations Jakob Grade 1 For picking up rubbish in the driveway without being asked. Over the course of the week, staff call on students to help them perform various tasks that they can’t do by themselves - it could be shifting a table arrangement, carrying resources or setting up for assembly. Each child who helps will be placed in the draw for the weekly certificate. SPORTS HALL OF FAME Congratulations to Izzy and Olivia in Grade 6 for making the U/12 BNA netball squad. Well done also to Rebecca Filluel, Grade 3, for winning the Somerset Surf Club Coaches Award in her age group.
