The ‘1Percenters’
The ‘1 Percenters’ are
just the little things that
are important in our
everyday lives. You can
make someone’s day
with these small acts
and they help you to
become a more giving
person. Some examples
of ‘1 percenters’ are:
• holding a door open
• saying ‘please’, ‘thank
you’, ‘sorry’ and
‘excuse me’
• picking up a pencil for
someone
• or just giving someone
a welcoming smile
The small things in life
are the very important
things.
Congratulations Jakob
Grade 1
For picking up rubbish in
the driveway without being
asked.
Over the course of the
week, staff call on students
to help them perform
various tasks that they can’t
do by themselves - it could
be shifting a table
arrangement, carrying
resources or setting up for
assembly.
Each child who helps will
be placed in the draw for
the weekly certificate.
SPORTS HALL OF FAME
Congratulations to Izzy and Olivia in Grade 6 for
making the U/12 BNA netball squad. Well done
also to Rebecca Filluel, Grade 3, for winning the
Somerset Surf Club Coaches Award in her age
group.

Lyrics:
So keep climbing though the ground might shake,
Just keep on reaching though the lid might break
We’ve come this far, don’t you be scared now
‘Cause you can learn to fly on the way down.
