2015 STUDENT COMPETITIONS FOR SCHOOLS
Cairns High participates in a range of international and national academic competitions throughout the year and it is a
great opportunity for all Years 7 – 12 students to gain a measure of their own achievement in an external testing situation. It
provides teachers, parents and students with comprehensive reporting of results in the areas of Digital Technologies,
English, Mathematics, Science, Chemistry and Writing.
All students receive a certificate and an individual student report indicating which questions they answered correctly
and their score compared with the rest of the students tested. The tests are an excellent preparation for national tests and
the student report is useful for highlighting your child’s strengths and weaknesses.
In order to streamline the entry process, all competitions dates, entry fees and closing dates outlined in the table below.
Students or parents can enter the chosen competitions by taking the totalled entry fees with the permission slip to the office
by the closing dates advertised. Please ensure that the year level of the student is noted.
