The Butchers and Drovers Bursary 2015/16 Postgraduate Applications Who can apply? Butchers and Drovers (BDCI) Bursaries will be awarded from September 2015 to students who are UK residents entering Harper Adams University to study for a postgraduate PgC, PgD or MSc courses which have direct relevance to the meat and livestock industry. The Scholarship The successful Scholarship recipient(s) will receive an award with a value of up to £5,000 for the term of the course. It should be noted that preference will be given for those candidates who have family or employment links with the meat and livestock industry or who have an intention of seeking employment in the industry IMPORTANT: to be shortlisted for interview, applicants must have been accepted on the relevant course at Harper Adams University by 12 Noon 15 June 2015 The above conditions must be fully met for an application to be considered. Harper Adams University reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship if progress is not maintained and/or there is a breakdown in the relationship between the parties and the scholar. The successful scholar(s) will receive: Up to £5,000 for each of their years of study on campus at the University. NB: The scholar(s) must remain registered as a student at Harper Adams; he/she must pass all modules of study during the continuation of their scholarship and he/she must submit at least one written report to the Board of BDCI. This is a competitive award and will be evaluated on the merit of the applicant and his/her application and interview. The decision of the Scholarship Panel is FINAL. Discuss the future relevance your chosen direction of study will have to the meat and livestock industry? Separately, please include a brief CV with your application (no more than two pages). Please note that the scholarship panel will also have access to the information you have provided to Harper Adams University on your application form.
