SC Council on Economic Education Darla Moore School of Business 1014 Greene Street Columbia, SC 29208 November 3, 2014 Economic Educators: On Tuesday, May 19, 2015, the South Carolina Council on Economic Education (SC Economics) and the University of South Carolina’s Economics Department will co-sponsor Economics Day for Students on the USC campus. Economics Day for Students brings together 120 high school juniors and seniors from across our state to the USC campus. The purpose of the day is to introduce these top students to the exciting area of economics, the Darla Moore School of Business, and USC in general. We invite you to select the students to attend. The students will meet at 8:30 am at the Darla Moore School of Business. From approximately 8:45 to 1:00 they will participate in simulations and activities along with USC faculty on topics related to the areas of microeconomics, macroeconomics, and international economics. The day will include a lunch break and will conclude by 1:00 pm. Parking will be available. This event is a stimulating and informative day for all students and teachers involved. Since we are limiting participation to the first 120 students, please inform me of your plans as soon as possible, but no later than Monday, April 13, 2015.
