Reasons for applying for a Board position:
When leaving Sweden 16 years ago because I was offered a job abroad, I saw the opportunity to
have my children at an international school was a great bonus. Today, I see the international
education as the most important reason for leaving my home country, and my job rather as a
bonus.
Giving our children a top-notch education is the most important investment we make as parents. I
strongly believe in the value of an international education.
I would like to make sure that future students will have the same great experience that my
children have had at ISP, and that ISP will continue to develop within the top class of international
schools.
3 years ago I was offered a global job, provided I moved. I refused, in order to have my children
continue their studies at ISP. (I landed the job anyhow)
After 40 years of professional work in various companies and organizations, I am now going to
retire. A change in life that normally brings people back to their original home country. Again, we
decided to stay in Prague, primarily because of the school.
My retirement will give me the time needed to really contribute to the Board work. I also consider
this an opportunity to pay back a little of the experience and knowledge I have gathered over the
years.
In addition to my professional experience, I have also 15 years of experience working as a Boy
Scout leader, and thereby supporting young people. Recently I have engaged in NGO work
again, by committing time to Rotary International, (one of the largest charity organizations world
wide.)

Personal Statement:
With almost 40 years in various management positions in the manufacturing industry, mainly in
B2B, I have built an extensive experience in general management. While most of my experience
is from marketing & sales, financial controlling and from the strategy & business development
area, I have acquired a broad leadership experience over the years, most recently from the
Central & East European countries. Very often this has been in various types of turn around
situations.
- I am known for successfully building, developing and motivating high performance teams in
international, multicultural environments with a high level of communication and excellent people
skills.
- Successful track record in top-level positions of global companies in business turnarounds,
strategic positioning and change management achieved through various line positions, as well as
through high-level staff positions.
- Solid skills in strategy and implementation programs. Functional focus on front end issues, e.g.
profitable growth, channel issues and pricing management.
- Known as being a dedicated and structured "hard worker" with high analytical skill,
demonstrating an ability to learn quickly and to deliver quality outputs on time.
- Board experience from various non-executive boards memberships.
My nationality is Swedish, but I have been living and working in five countries over the years, so I
have a hands-on experience of, and really enjoy, working and living in an international
environment. When not working, I am devoting my time to my family, wife Charlotta and my our
three children Axel, Elsa and Hugo. Furthermore, I am an avid long distance runner and skier.
Other areas of great interest are music, boat life, reading and cooking.
