MEET OUR THIRD GRADE TEACHERS

Years at CE: This is my 10th
year as a certified teacher and my 20th year with
LDISD.
Personal Teaching Motto: As much as I love
learning, I love sharing and inspiring the love of
learning even more! I pray the seeds of knowledge,
self-discipline, and love for others will continue to grow
in the lives of my students. Once a Top DAWG, always
a Top DAWG!
Favorite Hobbies: Quilting, Reading and Fishing
Something You’d Never Guess: I first learned to
drive when I was about 10, driving my granddaddy's
tractor to and from the pasture.
Years Teaching: 7th year teaching 3rd grade and 1st
year at CE
Personal Teaching Motto: My personal teaching style
is to create a loving and safe environment for each
student in my room and treat them like I would my own
children.
Favorite Hobbies: Reading and Scrapbooking
Something You’d Never Guess: I went paragliding in
Switzerland.

Personal Teaching Motto: My goal is to not only
teach my students the needed skills, but also
encourage them to develop a lifelong love of learning.
Favorite Hobbies: spending time with family and
friends; playing with our 3 fur-babies: Bogey, Annie,
and Toby; NASCAR, Texas Rangers baseball, Dallas
Stars hockey; crafting, shopping!
Something You’d Never Guess: My husband and I
went to the Daytona 500 on our honeymoon.

Years Teaching: 13
Personal Teaching Motto: I believe every child has a natural curiosity to learn.
I want to use this curiosity to make learning fun and exciting. I want every student to
leave my class with a desire to want to learn more.
Favorite Hobbies: Anything my kids do, volleyball, reading, crafts, teaching
Something You’d Never Guess: Since I was little I wanted to be 3 things: Secretary
(check - did that), Teacher (check - doing that), and Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader
(I have recently taken that off my list of things to do).

Years at CE: This is my 9th year at Corinth
Elementary, I started as Robin Reeves' student
teacher in 2006.
Personal Teaching Motto: I believe every child has
the ability to learn, to become problem solvers and
lifelong learners.
Favorite Hobbies: I enjoy playing soccer on my
women's team Hot Mess.
Something You’d Never Guess: I roller skated as a
child and won a trophy.

Years at CE: This is my first year teaching.
Personal Teaching Motto: I believe that students
should always be engaged and invested in their
learning.
Favorite Hobbies: I love watching Rangers’ baseball,
cheering on my Aggies and shopping.
Something You’d Never Guess: No one would ever
guess that I went to elementary school with Demi
Lovato.

Years Teaching: 21 total years teaching
Personal Teaching Motto: I believe that every child
has a talent that may not be reflected in traditional
schoolwork. My goal is to find and nurture that talent
so that every student feels like a success.
Favorite Hobbies: Reading and Gardening
Something You’d Never Guess: I’m afraid of
balloons.

Years at CE: This is my first year teaching.
Personal Teaching Motto: I believe that learning
should be engaging, relevant and meaningful, and
ultimately encourage every child to become lifelong
learners who are fully equipped to contribute to the
society in which they live. My desire is for each child to
use his or her unique experiences to enrich the
classroom learning community, and I hope to model
the respectful behavior I expect from my students.
Favorite Hobbies: Cooking, crafting, working out,
spending time with family and friends
Something You’d Never Guess: I used to play
basketball tournaments in the Lake Dallas gyms.
