Pitt Meadows Music Department presents the Spring Concert April 15 @ 7:00pm. This concert will feature
Beginner Band Ensemble, Advanced Band Ensemble, Concert Band Ensemble and various solo
performances. We look forward to seeing come out and enjoy an evening of music performed but these
talented musicians. The concert is in the Multi-Purpose Room with admission of $3.00/person, or
$5.00/family.

The Langara Women’s Soccer team will be holding an ID Camp on April 11th 10:00am to 12 noon at Burnaby
Lake Field # 1 for U17 and U18 players. Those interested in attending please contact Head Coach Ryan Birt at

City of Pitt Meadows Annual Earth Day is Wednesday, April 22nd at Spirit Square. They are looking for
students to put up tents and displays, running errands, interacting with kids, helping with displays, handing
out information. There is also a special job for someone who doesn’t mind handling live worms and talking
about composting. Volunteers needed from 9 - 2, sign up in the Career Centre, teacher permission form
needed.
Canadian Tourism College is hosting a 2 day Career Prep Event April 30 (Surrey Campus) and May 1
(Vancouver Campus). Learn about all the exciting opportunities available in the tourism industry from
industry professionals. The event is free, but space is limited.
The APEG (Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC) Foundation offers several entry scholarships to
British Columbia high school graduates entering engineering or earth science programs at the UBC, UVic,
SFU, BCIT and UNBC. The entry scholarships are awarded on the basis of a combination of factors, including
academic standing, extracurricular activities, financial need and a student statement. Visit

Pitt Meadows Easter Egg Hunt needs volunteers Sunday April 5th 7:00am - noon.
BC School Sports Subway® scholarship has four scholarships of $500 each that will be awarded to two male
and two female student-athletes. Consideration will be given to an applicant’s participating in soccer for a
school team, their volunteerism and involvement in their community. Application Deadline: May 8, 2015.
