Thank you from the PTC
The PTC would like to thank the school community for the generous
donations of baked goods for the Friendship Sunday Masses .
Our Friendship weekend was a huge success due to parent involvement!
Our school was strongly represented at Mass and the love
that poured over into the cafeteria with baked goods,
conversation and fellowship was breathtaking.
***All Parents and Staff are invited to the PTC meeting
next Wednesday, March 25, 2015
beginning at 6:30pm in the Music Room.
ALL are welcome!
New to San Antonio? Curious about Fiesta?
By 1890, San Antonio, Texas, was a thriving trade center with population of
38,000. In 1891 a group of citizens decided to honor the heroes of the
Alamo and Battle of San Jacinto with a Battle of Flowers.
The first parade had horse-drawn carriages, bicycles decorated with fresh
flowers and floats carrying children dressed as flowers. The Belknap Rifles
represented the military. The participants pelted each other with blossoms.
The Battle of Flowers Parade is the largest parade in Fiesta.

Standardized Testing
Just as a reminder, Iowa Assessment testing will continue on Monday, March 23rd.
CogAT (2nd and 6th only) will be Tuesday—Thursday, March 24-26, 2015, with a makeup day on
Friday, March 27th . Once the testing starts, a student will not be allowed to enter the classroom.
This national test is a vital tool for us, the staff, to use in evaluating and structuring our teaching
methods to best benefit the students. With that said there are a few things that we ask of you, the
parents, during these testing weeks:
Please make sure your child:
has a good night's sleep, eats a healthy breakfast and
arrives to school on time with two number 2 pencils and an eraser
and please make all doctor's appointments in the afternoon
Thank you for all of your help.
