Victor was born on November 22, 1950, to Joseph and Josephine (nee Gueguen) Perrot at Melfort, SK. He grew up on the family farm in the Kermaria
district, southeast of St. Brieux, and attended school in St. Brieux, SK. After
high school, Victor followed his passion and began his farming career on
the family farm. On October 28, 1972, he married Catherine Laczko in St.
Brieux. After a few years, they built their home five miles west of Naicam
and were blessed with four children, two daughters and two sons. In addition to farming, Victor spent countless hours in the farm shop, where he
put his mechanical skills to task repairing and maintaining equipment. He
was very sharp at business and numbers, if there was a deal to be found,
he would find it. Of great importance to Victor was his family. He, Cathy
and the kids shared a love for sports, hockey and figure skating in the winter and baseball in the spring and summer months. Countless hours were
spent coaching hockey, building rinks in the backyard, and watching the
kids play. An avid hockey fan, tuning in to watch the Montreal Canadiens
on Hockey Night in Canada was a weekly ritual in the winter seasons. In
his later years, Victor enjoyed spending time at the local coffee shops, going to auction sales, watching the Montreal Canadiens, helping out his
kids, and crop checking. In the past four years, he was blessed with four
grandchildren, which kept him fighting a courageous battle to the end.
Victor will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife
of 42 years, Catherine (nee Laczko) Perrot of Naicam; their four children and four grandchildren: Joanne (Duane) Perrot-Hill of Saskatoon and
children Ava and Jesse; Joey Perrot (Heather) of Naicam; Brett (Cindy)
Perrot of Melfort and children Ethan and Jace; and Cherie Perrot (Trevor)
of Naicam; three brothers: Jean (Rosemarie) Perrot of Naicam; Louis (Helene) Perrot and Adrien (Marian) Perrot, all of St. Brieux; and by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph
and Josephine (nee Gueguen) Perrot; and by one brother, Alain Perrot.
God looked around His garden
And found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put His arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb.
So He closed your weary eyelids
And whispered, "Peace be Thine".
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn't go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
APPRECIATION
The family wishes to express their gratitude
for your kindness evidenced in thought and deed,
and for your attendance at the funeral service.
