A ‘winterfest’ of fun-filled outdoor activities is coming to Canal Shores Golf Course on Feb.
21 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Co-sponsored with the City of Evanston Parks, Recreation
& Community Services Department, we promise a day of fun activities for the entire family.
Olaf from Disney’s FROZEN will be on hand to greet participants from 1:00-2:00 p.m.
Activities include cross country skiing on a fully-groomed trail, snowshoeing, beginner
lessons, and many fun surprises. Refreshments will be served.
IMPORTANT NOTE – If you need skis or snowshoes, you must reserve equipment by 11
a.m. Monday, Feb. 16. Rentals for skiing will be in 60-minute increments and will cost $20
(including skis, boots and poles). For proper fitting, we need your shoe size and height.
Snowshoes will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at no charge.

We are planning for snow, but please stay tuned in case Mother Nature throws us a curve
and holds back snowfall for the event. Canal Shores Golf Course is located at 1030 Central
Street. There is plenty of parking nearby, including the City parking lot adjacent to the L.
