NEW SCHOOL UNIFORM
Dear Parents/Carers,
Welcome back! We hope that you all
had a relaxing Easter break.
The new Cliff Lane Primary School uniform is now available to purchase from PMG Schoolwear.
The uniform will be compulsory from September.
Below are some of the children proudly wearing the new uniform.
SCOOTERS AND BIKES
Can we remind all children to be
careful when riding their bikes and
scooters. Children need to be careful
when riding on the pavements. Please
ensure children wear a safety helmet.
Please do not ride bikes or scooters
within the school grounds.
FUNDRAISING – DATE FOR YOUR
DIARY
On Wednesday 29th May we will be
holding a “Wear a wig to school crazy
hair day”. This will raise funds for the
Clic Sargent charity which supports
Jamie Cornish and his family.
In the afternoon we will also be raising
our annual fundraising marathon. All
money raised will go to this fantastic
charity.
The children will be told all about this
charity on Thursday in assembly next
week.

INSPIRE
Letters will be sent out today for the Inspire after school club. The clubs are due to start the week
commencing 27th April. There will be no Inspire Sports club until then.
COMMUNITY INFORMATION
CLF SUMMER FAIR
The annual CLF Summer Fair will be held on Saturday 27th June 12-3pm.
CLF are starting to book stalls for the fair. If you are interested in running a stall or you know someone
who may be interested please leave your name and telephone number at the school office.
QUIZ NIGHT
The planned Quiz Night has now been cancelled due to lack of response.

RECEPTION – MUD KITCHEN
Children in Reception have been enjoying the new mud kitchen built by the Reception
staff in the Easter holidays. The children are making mud pies and other delicious mud
dishes.
ROAD SAFETY JACKETS
We have a number of high visibility
vests that are available to loan if your
children walk, bike or scooter to
school. If you would like one please
go the school office. First come first
serve basis. The vests are available
in various sizes.
MENTO’S AND COLA EXPERIMENT
Years 3&4 conducted a scientific experiment to kick off their potions topic this term. They were
dropping different numbers of Mento’s into bottles of coke to measure the amount of foam that was
created! The children had great fun recording the results and watching the experiment. Watch out
for more experiments in the coming weeks!

No homework club until further notice. Next week is the last cooking club session.
