Introduction & Announcements 14B Changes to Sign In with Google - Action Required «Sign in with Google» Deprecation And Replacement • As of April 20, 2015, Google will no longer support its “Sign in with Google” authentication method. • Google is replacing their existing “Sign in with Google” capability with “Sign in with Google+”. Google requires vendors, such as Oracle, to replace the existing “Sign in with Google” authentication method with the newer “Sign in with Google+” authentication method to avoid user disruption. April 20,2015 Customer Impact Customers currently allowing candidates to sign in using Google credentials • Candidates using their Google credentials to log into customer career sites will lose the ability to access their accounts unless customers that are currently leveraging the “Sign in with Google” capability, upgrade to Oracle Taleo Enterprise Edition 14B (or higher) and undergo the appropriate steps to enable and configure “Sign in with Google+” prior to Google’s deprecation of the “Sign in with Google” feature on April 20th, 2015. Customers wishing to allow candidates to sign in using Google credentials in the future • Customers that have never enabled candidates to sign in to career sites using their Google credentials, but would like to do so, must upgrade to TEE 14B (or higher) and undergo the appropriate steps to enable and configure “Sign in with Google+”. Action Required January 14th onward • It is highly recommended that customers that currently allow candidates to log into career sites using Google credentials upgrade to Oracle Taleo Enterprise Edition 14B (or higher) and enable the “Sign in with Google+” capability. • We continue to evaluate the option of back porting the “Sign in with Google+” capability to a 14A maintenance pack, and will provide an update in February 2015, if this becomes an option. Flexible Email Sensitivity 14B Additional flexibility for email sensitivity USE CASE An administrator configures specific emails sent by Taleo (ex: emails to internal candidates) as being private, while keeping the normal sensitivity on other Taleo emails. Only intended recipients can see the contents of the private email. IMPORTANT NOTES N/A Five sensitivity levels are available: • Default • Normal • Private • Personal • Confidential Selecting the "Default" sensitivity level means that email messages sent using this message template will use the sensitivity level defined in the "Mail Sensitivity" global setting. When upgrading to release 14B, the sensitivity level is set to "Default" for all message templates, which will provide the same behavior as before the upgrade. Submission medium 14B Submission Medium Enhancements USE CASE Candidate submissions enter the system via various methods outside of traditional “Online”, such as: Referral, Agency, Mobile CS, “Apply at LinkedIn”, or Matched. These all invite the candidate to return to a Career Section to supply more data or complete submission. Recruiting Center can now track when candidates returned to after Agency and EE Referral / Match / Taleo Mobile application / LinkedIn mobile app. Customers can organize candidates at various stages in CSW statuses, using auto progression rules. On by default The list of values in both the Original Submission Medium and Latest Submission Medium include the following changes: External Import - A new value created to support future functionality for creating submissions from candidate information imported from external systems. Online Mobile - A new value associated with candidates who use a mobile career section. Referral - A new value associated with candidates created through an employee referral. Resume - The "Paper Resume" value, a term used prior to 14B, was renamed "Resume". Staffing Station - Though unavailable for selection in the Create Candidate process because the Staffing Station is no longer offered, "Staffing Station" is still available for selection in the candidate file in edit mode. If the submission medium of a candidate was "Staffing Station" before migration, this value is retained for that candidate. Talent Exchange - Though unavailable for selection in the Create Candidate process because the Talent Exchange no longer exists, "Talent Exchange" is still available for selection in the candidate file in edit mode. If the submission medium of a candidate was "Talent Exchange" before migration, this value is retained for that candidate. MORE DETAILS Copyright © 2014 Oracle and/or its affiliates. Profile creation in a new language 14B Create a profile in a new language using data from an existing language Highlights Benefits Pictures (tap picture to enhance) • Allows candidates to leverage data from a prior submission in another language when they apply to a job (or update their profile) in a language they had not used before. • Removes redundant data entry for candidates in multilingual environments, thereby saving time to apply • Reduce dropout rate • Relevant information from the last updated profile is pre-populated into the candidates submission or profile. AVAILABILITY CONFIGURATION MORE DETAILS PDF Version INSTRUCTIONS Client Oracle Auto Next page(s) Copyright © 2014 Oracle and/or its affiliates. All rights reserved. Profile creation in a new language Create a profile in a new language using data from an existing language USE CASE Take the case of a candidate who speaks English, Spanish and German and has a candidate profile in English and in German. The German version was updated most recently. If the person applies for a job posted on the Spanish career section or updates his/her profile so it includes a Spanish version, fields in such sections as Education, Work Experience and Certifications will be prepopulated with values he or she entered in the German version of the candidate profile. The information is copied as soon as a job application flow or candidate profile flow is started in a particular language for which there is no existing profile in that language. Conversely, if candidates edit a candidate profile in a particular language, the current values are not updated automatically with values from another language version of the candidate profile (this is by design). Values from the following fields from the most recently updated candidate profile are reproduced in each additional language candidate profile at creation: Education, Work Experience, Certifications, Plain Text Resume, Plain Text Cover Letter, Additional Information. This will enable customers that only want to update the branding file, and not JS, to do • Project timeline acceleration – remove Oracle from the process of uploading branding files when JS is not involved. AVAIL- PICTURES CONFIGURATION MORE DETAILS PDF Version Client Oracle Auto Copyright © 2014 Oracle and/or its affiliates. All rights reserved. Branding File Extension Customers have autonomy to update the branding files Pictures Copyright © 2014 Oracle and/or its affiliates. All rights reserved. 14B Branding File Extension 14B Customers have autonomy to update the branding files USE CASE Customer has a branding file with JavaScript Periodically the branding file needs updating, but the JavaScript component is unchanged Customer can upload new branding files without engaging Oracle Consulting / support. Configuration On the New Career Portal Brand configuration page, Career Section administrators will see only the "Branding File" option in the Type list. The Type list includes a new attribute called "Branding File Extension" that is only displayed to Oracle Taleo employees who have the permissions required to upload the JavaScript files. There is also a field for specifying the file to be uploaded. Oracle Taleo customers can create "branding file extension" files themselves, have a third party do this or submit a SOW to have Oracle Consulting Services create the files. In all cases, Oracle Consulting Services is responsible for examining the JavaScript to ensure it contains no security vulnerabilities and for uploading the validated file. A SOW is required for these tasks. Impacts Migration This feature has no impact on organizations that do not use JavaScript in their branding files. If an organization uses JavaScript in branding files, no changes to existing branding files are necessary at time of upgrade to 14B; the files will continue to work as designed. After the upgrade to 14B, however, if an organization wishes to modify a migrated branding file that includes JavaScript, the new formats must be used: • for HTML, cascading styles sheets and images—a branding file whose type is Branding File; • for JavaScript—a "branding file extension" file. Job Search Tab Redirect 14B Redirection to alternate job search from the career section Use Case When a customer uses TSS as the Job Search front-end for Taleo Enterprise, and a candidate searches for jobs and finds one they are interested in applying to, the candidate is handed off to Career Section for the application flow. During the application process, if the candidate decides to search for more jobs and this feature is enabled, when the user clicks the Taleo Enterprise Job Search tab they are navigated back to TSS via the configured URL. They can then use TSS to search for more jobs. Candidates using external URLs which point to a Career Section job search or job list page are also redirected to the configured TSS job search. Configuration Configuration properties for this feature are listed below. In Taleo Recruiting Administration, when configuring a candidate submission UDF, system administrators can select the "Custom Report Universe" option to make the UDF available for reporting purposes. However, the ability to order submission UDFs and assign them to one of the Reporting slots was not implemented. • In version 14B, system administrators now have the ability to assign a reporting ID to each reportable candidate • Provides more control on the reporting of submission UDFs. • Since reporting is limited to 100 UDFs, customers can select which UDFs they want to use. This first release of the Recruiting Embedded Reporting feature is intended to set the foundation for the feature and to support conversion of content via 3rd party partners. The content development features are functional but new and complex, so intended towards early adopter users who are familiar with Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI) Publisher or Native Reporting report development only. The Recruiting Embedded Reporting feature is different from the Reporting and Analytics feature and the Custom Report Universe tool available in Recruiting. Reporting and Analytics is the Taleo reporting module (for both OBI and BO). Reports created with OBI cannot be accessed from within Recruiting and reports created with the Recruiting Embedded Reporting feature cannot be accessed outside of Recruiting. As for the Custom Report Universe, it is a tool that allows system administrators to view user-defined fields available in reports and to assign IDs for each field in the report. Converted Subject areas & SAP BO FP7.1 Update USE CASE I want to recreate Recreate SAP Business Objects Reports In OBI. Converted subject areas have been provided to facilitate recreation of BO reports in OBI, due to functional parity and close to 1:1 mapping between BO universe objects and OBI subject area objects. 14B For a complete filterable list of fields please refer to the Oracle - Taleo Reporting OBI Legacy Subject Areas - 14B - Data Dictionary Report Developer Information When creating a new analysis in OBI or report in Embedded Reporting, the report developer simply selects the Recruiting (Legacy) subject area. Then, use the relevant designer to define queries against the subject area. Net new reports should be developed using the contemporary Recruiting subject area, unless the contemporary Recruiting subject area has functional gaps preventing the new report's functional scope to be met. When a report developer needs to develop a report on requisitions that do not have any job submissions, it is necessary to add the following element in the results of the report: • Context / Requisitions with/without applications. During draft period please see the draft data dictionary for available fields. MORE DETAILS Copyright © 2014 Oracle and/or its affiliates. All rights reserved. All rights reserved. Export Job Submission Statuses 14B Export job submission statuses through TCC USE CASE A customer creates a custom career site. Using TCC integrations, this career site is able to display the appropriate job submission status to external candidates. A candidate accessing the career section to view his job submission status is able to view the submission status in a meaningful manner. Important Information When exporting field values from the ApplicationStatusByContextDefinition entity, if different locale (language) filterings are applied to the fields from this entity, the output may not contain the locales that were requested. To avoid this situation, make sure to set the same locale filtering on all multilingual fields from the ApplicationStatusByContextDefinition entity. The order in which the four possible statuses (ApplicationStatusbyContext ) are returned in the export output will not always be the same if running the same export query multiple times. For example, when using the export output, do not rely on the external candidate status to be returned first. Always validate the user type for which a status applies to. It is recommended to always use the CustomizedName field value of the ApplicationStatusByContextDefinition entity instead of the Name field value. If no customer-specific customizations have been done on the names of the Taleo default statuses, both fields will have the same value. If customizations have been made, only CustomizedName will take those customizations into consideration. The only reason to use the Name field would be if you want the standard Taleo default statuses, ignoring customizations made to the text for those default statuses. Export Candidate Search Logs 14B Export candidate search logs through TCC USE CASE An HR department wants to export information about past candidate searches for a specific requisition as the company is being audited. They use TCC to export this information to another location, which can be referenced for the audit. Configuration No configuration is required to enable this feature. Users with integration rights will automatically gain the ability to export information from the new "CandidateSearchLog" entity. For TCC integrations, the 14B Recruiting Product Integration Pack (or a later one) is required. Important Information While it is possible to filter candidate search log exports based on the candidate entity, doing so will have important performance impacts on the customer zone. It is highly recommended to never perform candidate search log exports that filter on candidate information to avoid performance issues that would impact users. Flexible E-mail Sensitivity 14B Additional flexibility for e-mail sensitivity Highlights Benefits • E-mail sensitivity was introduced in 14A as a setting. This feature marks messages sent from the Taleo system with a sensitivity level. • Allows customers to mark designated notifications and communications as sensitive • The sensitivity can now be set at the notification / template level Pictures (tap picture to enhance) • Enhances privacy to enable only those intended recipients of private e-mails to view their contents AVAILABILITY CONFIGURATION MORE DETAILS PDF Version INSTRUCTIONS Client Oracle Auto Next page(s) Next page(s) Copyright © 2014 Oracle and/or its affiliates. Flexible E-mail Sensitivity 14B Additional flexibility for e-mail sensitivity USE CASE An administrator configures specific e-mails sent by Taleo (ex: e-mails to internal candidates) as being private, while keeping the normal sensitivity on other Taleo e-mails. Only intended recipients can see the contents of the private e-mail. Five sensitivity levels are available: • Default • Normal • Private • Personal • Confidential Selecting the "Default" sensitivity level means that email messages sent using this message template will use the sensitivity level defined in the "Mail Sensitivity" global setting. When upgrading to release 14B, the sensitivity level is set to "Default" for all message templates, which will provide the same behavior as before the upgrade.
