Are you effectively managing data across the enterprise?
Do you have disparate applications across the organization – Oracle, Microsoft, Salesforce, SAP, Supply Chain, Analytics etc?
How do these diverse applications deliver real information to decision makers?
Is data fit for purpose as it moves from one application to the next?
Are you facing a system consolidation or upgrade?
Is your company acquisitive?
How do you integrate data from the new organization?
Do you have a data strategy to clean data and keep it clean for the long term to insure new data meets corporate standards?
Hitachi Consulting will be presenting how Enterprise Data Quality answers these and other requirements for enterprises in today’s best of breed
environments. We will be exploring use cases where clients have addressed these issues and walk through the value of Enterprise Data Quality for these
situations. You will leave this session with an understanding of how you and your team can quantify the value that quality data brings to your organization.

Session 1 Presentations
Use Excel For All Your Data Entry, Maintenance and Reporting Needs!
Oracle EBS Users and IT get work done faster than ever before using Microsoft Excel for
data entry, data updating, reporting, and development
API Wizard is the only product that solves data entry, data updating, and reporting problems across the entire Oracle EBS, every module and business process, in
one enterprise tool. It combines the best of Oracle and Excel to save significant hours for your people and to help them make faster, well-informed decisions.
Before they learned about and embraced API Wizard, our customers, like most Oracle shops, cobbled together a patchwork of different approaches to try and
manage data processing pain. After working with API Wizard, they’ve found it to be the solution that addresses all their needs, leading to standardization and
simplification.
Take a look at API Wizard and you’ll see how it can save time and effort for your people. It’s the fastest and easiest way to get your data in and out of Oracle.
Feeling dumped? Get ready to replace Discoverer and never look back.
You know how you sometimes only miss something when it’s gone…that’s how many people feel about the retirement of Oracle’s Discoverer report writing tool.
insightunlimited Reporting has been helping companies for years replace Disco and they’ve never looked back. insightunlimited provides your Business Users
with the ability to easily create and analyse data directly out of Oracle in real-time, eliminating the need for IT to create, recreate and refine reports as
everyone’s needs evolve. With prebuilt content across financials, purchasing, inventory and HCM, as well as a way to access any information stored in Oracle,
including custom tables and views, our award-winning solution will transform the way people access information.
Come learn how to get over the heartbreak in less than an hour (the install and configuration time of insightunlimited Reporting), and learn to love Oracle again!
Need a replacement for Oracle Discoverer? Meet Reports Wand 5
Are you using Oracle Discoverer? Need an ad hoc reporting tool for all modules in E-Business Suite?
Attend this session for an in-depth look into the functionality and benefits of Reports Wand 5 by Excel4apps, including:
• Effective alternative to Oracle Discoverer
• Report on any E-Business Suite module
• Develop highly customizable reports

Learn how the Reports Wand platform offers incredible flexibility in terms of filtering, sorting, formatting and refreshing real-time date into Excel from any
Oracle EBS module.
Application Performance Management, the Sequel: The Good and Bad of Post Tool-Selection Deployment
Last year we presented our journey to enlist the benefits of Application Performance Management to help our organization better monitor the end-user
experience, and present a ‘single-pane’ view of the application infrastructure. We discussed our Proof of Concept approach, the major tool vendors invited, and
our selection. A year later we’ve deployed our tool to two of our key customers. Some aspedcts have gone well, and also there have been unanticipated
challenges. This presentation covers in-depth details of an enterprise tool deployment against Oracle E-Business Suite, Demantra, and Agile environments.
Even more Forms and OAF Personalization Examples-2015
This is the newest version of this personalization presentation with new examples highlighting the newest R12 features. Oracle has added a significant number of
new features in OAF personalizations in 12.2+ and a few new forms personalization features. As part of your R12 upgrade, use Form and OAF Personalizations
to replace many of your customizations. Also use personalizations to streamline your business processes through improved control of validations, defaults,
terminology and other requirements.
Session 2 Presentations
R12 Upgrade – Lesson learned and tips on how to succeed. What you need to know.
Not surprisingly, many organizations have not upgraded to R12 yet. The window is tightening and 12.2 is now part of the decision mix. Lessons have been learned
the hard way. We will share how to overcome obstacles and succeed with the upgrade. Further, many new tools and information sources have evolved and are
available. We’ll show you where to find them. In addition, we’ll cover updated support dates, what to consider about R12.2, and how to succeed based on dozens
of successful upgrade projects. This functional presentation is for anyone who will be part of an R12 upgrade.
Workflow Setups That Make A Difference
Worklist Flexfields and custom notification views, exporting notifications to Excel, assistant administrators, using grants instead of worklist access to see
SYSADMIN's emails, controlling the LOV for the recipient for vacation rules and worklist access (12.2 only) are a few of the advanced and mostly undocumented
setups that can increase your organization's use and administration of workflow. Listen to Oracle ACE and author explain how to install and use these setups.
Many of these setups are available in R12.1.3, but the presentation will cover new setups available only in R12.2
A Growing Supply Chain
Getting products into the hands of customers is becoming more difficult than ever. Shouldn't you be able to dedicate more time and energy focusing on your core
competencies than on increasingly complicated supply chains?
Mike Neadeau would like to demonstrate to Oracle users a managed service approach for their growing supply chain. The managed services approach brings
technical, consultative, and professional capabilities together for data translation and routing to the vendor community, supplier on-boarding, supplier support
services, and an underlying transactional infrastructure and data center. Mr. Neadeau can demonstrate the ease of integrating the managed services with Oracle
and the benefits associated. He can then close with tips for enhancing the collaborative relationship between Oracle users and their trading partners.
Making the Choice: E-Business Suite 12.1, 12.2, ERP Cloud or Co-Existence
From E-Business Suite 12.1 to 12.2 to ERP Cloud, Oracle customers now have more options than ever. This session will help you evaluate whether a move to EBusiness Suite 12.1, 12.2, ERP Cloud or even a co-existence strategy makes the most sense for your organization. Learn about the key decision points
organizations should consider when creating and executing their Oracle ERP roadmap.
Three Cases Studies: Oracle EPM Transformation for Oil & Gas Finance teams
Oracle Enterprise Performance Management provides the platform and the tools to help companies in any industry meet the demands of rapidly changing and
evolving business environment. We will present three distinct examples in the Oil & Gas space and discuss the specific return on investment for the Finance
teams.
• Case 1 – LNG company who leveraged Oracle Financial Close (HFM, LCM, ARM) and Hyperion Planning to transform the financial consolidation and reporting
processes during a turnaround.
• Case 2 – Oil-field equipment manufacturer who leveraged Hyperion Financial Management to provide financial reporting continuity and transparency during SAP
reimplementation
• Case 3 – E&P company who used Hyperion Planning to streamline the collection, consolidation, and analysis of forward-looking plans.
Attendees will learn Hyperion deployment best practices and innovative approaches which they can leverage in their own organization.
Session 3 Presentations
Technology Inflection Point: Cloud Computing, Data Access and Mobility Convergence
The convergence of technology enablers in cloud computing, data access, and mobility are an inflection point that when addressed by the IT department can
either help solve and advance the enterprise or make the situation worse. In this session, Scott will use a business study to describe in detail the coming
convergence of technology that will transform IT into a utility.
The objective of most current IT departments is to as “build and run.” They build IT and they run IT, spending a lot of CAPEX along the way. As the inflection
point shift turns technology to a consumerization, “user-friendly app-style” utility, IT departments focus will be to maintain IT standards and become a broker for an
ecosystem of providers who supply the IT services. This change will allow organizations to transfer resources from building and maintaining enterprise services to
a focus on their true core competencies.
This presentation will answer the following questions:
o What is the difference between a trend and an inflection point in business?
o What is cloud computing and how will it impact a business?
o How will data access and mobility transform a business?
o For the IT business unit, what does the future mode of operation of a company look like?
R12 Subledger Accounting – Overview and Case Study
This paper gives a detailed explanation of Sub Ledger Accounting, what is does, and how it works in R12. We also cover a real world tax accounting issue we
resolved using custom setups within SLA.
Archive and Purge 101 for Oracle E-Business Suite
Archive and Purge in the E-Business Suite means many things to many people depending on your job role. Based upon feedback and questions during the
Archive & Purge SIG, this session is meant to address exactly what Archive and Purge means. If you want to learn what options are available, this session is for
you. Topics will include what is available natively through the E-Business Suite, what should be done on a routine basis and what third party tools are applicable.
Using Business Intelligence as a Strategic Tool
To assure a successful implementation of any ERP solution, the organization must make certain the applications being implemented support the overall strategies
of the organization. Unless the new tools help achieve the goals defined as part of the organization’s mission and vision, the ERP is not as useful or as valuable
as it should be. Oracle applications should be viewed as an important strategic tool by every organization. Nowhere is this more evident than in the use of
Business Intelligence. Yet, Business Intelligence implementations continue to fall short of expectations by many organizations.
AST has developed a framework help organizations design business intelligence tools to support the organization’s overall strategy and help it achieve its vision
by interweaving goals with the business intelligence design. We help staff identify how each department’s functions can be related to high-level organization
goals. We have a format to define those goals using a Goal Definition Structure based on four specific categories:
§ Cultural Goals,
§ Employee Acquisition and Development Goals,
§ Departmental Goals, and
§ Strategic Goals.
Our methodology walks users through the process of identifying goals important to the organization and integrating those into Business Intelligence. This is done
through specific steps:
§ Helping the departments define their goals,
§ Associating them with higher level organization-wide goals,
§ Determining how the goals will be measured,
§ Defining the timeline for meeting the goals, and
§ Assigning each goal a priority.
This information can then be transitioned to Oracle Business Intelligence where meaningful data can be generated. This process results in metrics that support
the strategy of the organization as well as the day-to-day operations of departments. It provides meaningful, valuable information that can be leveraged to
improve processes for all constituents.
Oracle Planning & Budgeting Cloud Service
Why go to the cloud => Offer your employees mainstream applications as a cloud service, accelerate planning adoption with a SaaS subscription model, lower IT
resource requirements, deploy quickly with no internal hardware or software requirements, reduce budgeting cycles and improve forecasting accuracy. Small and
midsize companies can use this to make the change from spreadsheets to a full budget, planning and reporting application and large companies can benefit from
this offering either for line of business or departmental deployment. PBCS is a flexible planning solution that combines Oracle Hyperion Planning with a cloudbased deployment model (SaaS).
We have seen continued traction for Cloud based Performance Management solutions since 2013. The landscape is a combination of on-premise and cloud
based offerings, providing clients with on-premise, cloud or hybrid cloud/on-premise platforms. A hybrid approach could provide benefits when the typical onpremise solution may be too expensive. This speaks to the fact that a large percentage of small to mid-size companies are still using pure spreadsheet models for
the planning process. PBCS allows companies to deploy an industry leading budgeting and planning solution, removing some of the typical barriers inherent to an
on-premise solution.
What’s in it for you?
• Subscription model reducing costs by eliminating software purchase and annual maintenance
• Fast adoption with no infrastructure investment and minimal IT involvement
• Industry leading planning and budgeting applications across the enterprise
• Flexible deployment options and reduced learning curve
• Streamlined planning process eliminating the risk for manual errors
