Experience hands-on science experiments for children ages 6-19 and
their families.

Saturday Science at Discovery: Forensic Science
First Saturday of Every Month, April 4th, 10 a.m.-noon
Learn how forensic scientists gather evidence to uncover events
that happened in the past, compare healthy and diseased human organs, analyze fingerprints, and more.

Party with the Stars
Third Friday of Each Month, 7-8:30 p.m.
Find out what objects are currently in the night sky and how
to find them. If the sky is clear, telescopes will be set up for
viewing. All ages are welcome

Afterschool Expeditions
Mondays 2:30-4 p.m.
This weekly program offers opportunities for elementary and
middle school students to explore, engage and discover science
at UW-Madison.

NASA’s Kepler Project has uncovered almost 2000 planets outside our solar
system - what might life on other planets look like? Bring your imagination
and join the UW Space Place to create your own extraterrestrial.

Minecraft Workshop
Friday, April 3, 4-6 p.m.
Explore the world of Minecraft on a private server and learn new ways to
build, interact, and move within the world while playing in the game with
objectives decided by the group!

Dane County Farm Day
April 11, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Join the Dane County Farm Bureau in celebrating agriculture! Gather your
family and friends to see, taste and experience what Wisconsin’s agriculture
has to offer. This event will have you “snacking around Wisconsin” and is sure
to make you moo with delight!

Earth Partnership for Families: Woodland Wildflowers
Sunday, April 26, 12:30-3:30 p.m.
Explore the beauty of the maple woods in spring. Learn the names and
lifecycles of spring ephemerals and discover how these flowers are pollinated. This is a drop-in event but a naturalist-led hike will take place
from 1:30-2:30.

Native Plant Garden Tour: Early Sounds of Spring on Earth

As trees and shrubs begin to leaf out, Dutchman’s breeches, twin-life
and rue-anemones might be blooming in the woodland gardens. In our
prairie gardens, we may find Pasque flower, prairie smoke, and bird’sfoot violet!
