Would you like to:
 Make a meaningful difference in Madison elementary schools?
 Share the excitement of discovery with children – especially those who
might not be succeeding in school?
 Collaborate with elementary teachers to help them develop skills in
science and learn teaching skills from them?
The ARMS program’s “Young Science Scholars” initiative needs UW students who can
volunteer in classrooms for one hour per week and spend an additional hour planning
science activities with the teacher. UW students can participate through enrollment in
“Engage Children in Science,” a 2 credit course (offered fall and spring) or can gain
internship credits. To learn more contact Dolly Ledin at [email protected].
